Big chimney – It's a chimney for public bathing/sauna. Quite old-fashioned; hard to see one of those these days.
Love the vlog <3 we don't produce much fruits in korea, it's always gonna be expensive than tropical asia if you compare, but lots of vegetables are quite cheap!
That paste is the dip for the fresh pepper dipping sauce. Usually most Korean eat kimchi with noodle.
Just looked up Soju in the uk: £18 for two 360ml bottles. Yikes thats expensive! That food looked delicious!
Loved this, thanks for sharing 😊👍❤️
와 이정도면 진짜 맛있었나 보다.. 한국인인 나도 궁금하네 ㅋㅋㅋ
what a great and friendly service , i hope more people visit the,
Aloha~ Oh MY i want some korean GukSu..nothing beats the original…i dont drink so no liquor for me lol maybe next year i will go back again… are you gonna travel other parts of korea tooo? junju? gwangju? busan? daegu? choonchun? Mahalo~!
He knows how to eat Korean noodle properly! Really really good!!
한라산 (Hallasan) Soju in my opinion is the smoothest main stream Soju in Korea. Even 21 goes down like water. It can be dangerous! 😀
Have you been to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak in Jeju?
Yum Yum!
I appreciate these food focused episodes 😆
The staple cocktail for soju would be soju+mekju (beer) = somek
Kids would use juice, yakult or even icecream bars that slowly melts into the drink
Damn that guksu looks good
Your pronunciation is 99% perfect btw 👌
I like to have about five of the Gogi Guksu bowls with the Soju on the side. This is a meal I like to have in the evening time. The CNN food editor Anthony Bourdain made an episode of South Korea where he was having meals with male after office workers in Seoul in the evening and drinking Soju. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this episode. 🤪
looked pretty good!
If kimchi has a lot of grated raw garlic and raw green onion, which is a volatile spicy like wasabi, it becomes even spicier.
Kunbae (건배) is a bit old-fashioned haha People nowadays more use Chan (짠) which means “Cling”
I checked the price of the Soju here at one of the discounters here in OZ and it was around $11 a bottle for the 19 % or so one. I would be 3 sheets to the wind on one of those. Nothing wrong with slurping the broth out of the bowl as we do at home hehe.
Thank you
what a relaxed ambience there !
I'd like to go there and enjoy the mood, too.
1. Gun-bae
2. Ssamjang is technically for the green pepper like a dipping sauce. It’s not for the noodle but I guess it doesn’t matter. They all get mixed in the stomach anyway
