2018 – 2019 New Year’s Las Vegas

Hey you guys! Thanks for joining me on another journey. This week, we were in Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve. As we usually do, we waited to book accommodations until the last minute. After finding some shocking prices for hotels, we were fortunate enough to land an Airbnb for the night. The guy is in the middle of renovating his apartment, but it was clean & comfortable. We were especially happy to find it since the night before, we paid more for a less comfortable hotel. We went to Casa di Amore for a delicious Italian dinner. I had veal marsala and April had gnocchi with filet mignon chips. The restaurant definitely has a cool vibe, with the history of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack going there and the jazz music playing. We walked down The Strip to see what was going on. I got a beer from the liquor store and got to walk down the street with it–unlike in Utah. We found a dance party at the Spanish Steps Bar, so we got our dance on with the crowd there…the DJ did a good job. We also watched some of the water fountains and waterfalls at the hotels. Walked passed a big group of protesters, telling us we were all going to hell. Freedom of speech, I guess. A guy came up to April and started dancing with her; turns out he is from Florida like she is (I am too). He was fun. 🙂 Overall, we had a great time leaving 2018 behind and bringing in 2019 in Las Vegas!
