Surfing spot near Tokyo, Japan: Southern Chigasaki Beach サザン茅ヶ崎ビーチ Vlog | Micah Ng

July 23 was declared as a holiday (Sports Day) in Japan to honor the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics. So, we decided to head to Southern Chigasaki Beach in Kanagawa to avoid the crowd in Tokyo and also enjoy the scorching heat at the beach at least. It was just an hour and 30-minute train and bus ride. This is actually a popular surfing spot near Tokyo. I was expecting some beginner waves but the swells were just too high for a first-timer like me 😅 I did try to take some waves but I ended up getting wiped out a lot lol. We didn’t take videos since we were too focused on learning how to surf in the morning, will for sure try again next time and promise to take videos!
