Just 2 hours by train, bus or car away from Sapporo, you can find Lake Toya, arguably the most beautiful lake Japan has to offer! Take the ferry to Nakajima Island, or simply take in the many gorgeous views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. It’s a daytrip worth making for sure!
