祇園祭の放下鉾（京都市中京区新町通四条上ル）で、下水引4面の復元新調が完了し、2023年6月15日、放下鉾保存会が京都市中京区の京都文化博物館で山鉾関係者らに披露した。8カ年をかけた新調で俳人で画家の与謝蕪村（1716～1783年）の下絵を基にした絵柄が鮮やかによみがえった。
