  1. Nice video. Your Japanese pronunciation is cute. Sound slightly Chinese-influenced.

  2. The seats look really sleek, but tbh that tiny table is a big disappointment. You can't eat a proper ekiben or use your laptop on such a tiny table. I get that it's currently the shortest shinkansen route, but aren't there plans to extend it to Shin-Tosu which would almost double the distance? In which case some people might want to eat or do work if they are travelling the entire length of the route.

  3. 8:37 i Love the poster on the left which makes the train's engine look like a cute cat with a seagull on its forehead. Japanese humour can be subtle.

  4. Great video.thx so much.
As one of the daily users of this shinkansen service, i reckon it has got a bit less convenient than the previous way of services, which connected Nagasaki and Hakata directly. Although Shinkansen itself is very good and comfortable as free wifi and power outlets have installed every seat,it just reduced about 10 minutes between Nagasaki and Hakata and added extra connecting.
Another problem is that it's still unclear when the rest of the shinkansen will open(Takeo Onsen to Hakata). Local authorities and JR have been arguing what kinds of services(1435mm shinkansen services or free gage train services) are the best more than 40 years 😮

  5. Japan's uncompromising desire for perfection is never going to go away. For the scenery and nature lover so much concrete and outdated infrastructure is a pity. Much of the world is going paperless. Will Japan ever follow?

  6. Impressive speed, features and facilities. I really dislike the design aesthetic, but that's just my personal taste. Can't fault everything else. The set-back platform gates are interesting. I've not seen those before. Are they common in Japan? I guess that's to facilitate trains that have different door positions? Final thought: You left 1 minute late. I really hope the driver didn't get fired! lol

  7. Thalys is the best high speed rain of the whole world…with complimentary 3 course dinner & champagne in 1st class

  8. Japan's trains are undoubtedly among the best in the world. And the variety of services and rolling stock on offer is wonderfully crazy.

    Fantastic video, Superalbs!

  9. please could you make a video guide on taking japanese trains? i'm so scared to go there because i don't read or speak japanese and i might get lost!

  10. Soft, well padded seats. What are they thinking? Give me the arse-numbing ironing board seats we have on new trains in the UK any day of the week. 🙄

  11. Nice video! How's the suspension/ride quality in these trains compared to European high speed trains?

  12. Plug sockets – ugh what a horrible name, my pet peeve. Of course plugs go in sockets, it's like calling CDs discs! They're mains sockets, distinct from USB sockets for example.
