Kelantanese food is incredible join us in Kota Bharu Malaysia as we try some local specialties.
We first tried the famous roti Titab for 5 RM at the legendary Kopitiam Kita here in Kota Bharu and it was pretty good I’ll be honest.
We then went to the Siti Khadija market in Kota Bharu which is the perfect place to eat Malaysian Street Food.
In the market we tried a cheaper not famous version of the Roti Titab for 4 RM which was also really tasty.
Then we got ourselves a Nasi Tumpang for only 3 RM, Nasi Tumpang is a super traditional breakfast here in Kelantan and I definitely approve.
We then ate Laksam for the first time which was an absolute kelantanese highlight and at 3 RM a serious deal.
To wash this down we got ourselves a bottle of Kota Bharu’s own sarsi drink for 3 RM.

Kopitiam kite 👍super hospitality tourist services 👍😋 banyak menu makanan
I remembered in your previous video, u said u wanna look for ketupat sotong. May be it would be a bit hard to find, since the squid is quite PRICEY..but you can try ask around in the pasar siti khadijah there. Maybe, just maybe, with your luck, you can find it somewhere. Just ask for " TUPAK SOTONG"..😊
👍😋nasi tumpang n sambal 🍤 🍤 udang super sedap 👍😋
13:57 ohhh, i love that drink. I have not drink that for a very long time.
welcome to my hometown Kota Bharu..I am working as tour guide here
So glad we made the trip up here the food is ridiculously good 🇲🇾 What's your favourite Kelantanese food?
thats a cheaper version of nasi tumpang, normally it has some small prawns in between and also pieces of egg omelette
I love nasi tumpang the prawn version. You must try that one
Wow, this city is so beautiful and well organized though it is far away from the capital city KL. How many days did you spend there and how about the daily living cost? Is this area wallet friendly for the budget travelers?
Good morning สวัสดี
Finally u have successfully tried nasi tumpang and laksam…tq for trying our kelantanese traditional dishes…are you still in kelantan?.. I could take you around for free if you are still here and need someone to be your guide😊
Kota Baru is Newcastle – different accent from other Malays/Mat Salleh
1:11 Kota Bharu is my hometown and I know this place, but honestly my brain still can't accept soft boiled egg and kaya together on a toast – sorry.
4:12 This soda drink – a childhood favourite. Another is sarsi (sarsaparilla) in similar old school bottle. Probably contributed to the high incidence of diabetes among Malaysians.. 😊
I know it is awkward for you, but it is inappropriate for Malaysians to put food inside your mouth using their left hand. Just saying.
Sarsi is Sarsaparilla similar to root beer
You need to try nasi berlauk next
Thank u for this wonderful video.
สวัสดีครับ
If you are still in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, I suggest you to try Nasi Paku at Restoran Nasi Sumatera Wan Sri near to hospital.
Hi.. I recommend you to visit the local craft maker and have a look at the Kain songket, wau Bulan (very beautiful kite Which you will never see anywhere in the world).
sedap laksam
Makan makanan kelantan minggu depan potong kaki la
I love that you both explore small towns, where even most Malaysians don't visit. You might want to consider Gua Musang in Kelantan or Baling in Kedah. Great small town charm with nice views.
This thumbnail is absolutely wallpaper worthy! Your pose and your face expression is over the top. 🤑

Love your video. Nice to share about Kelantanese foods. Have you and Alicia try Penang Asam Laksa and Penang Char Koay Teow? Are you planning to go Penang trip? Even though Penang is tourism destination but their food so authentic and cannot compare to other states.
More video plzzz
Can't get enough
Love The east coast of peninsular.. lots of great food… authentic Malay culture.. glad u guys enjoy your time there
Hi bro please come to sabah Malaysia
สวัสดีเจ้า❤❤❤❤
Wow, u r amazing! An Englishman trying various Kelantanese food with sambal. 😋
Sarsi – a root beer knockoff
Only obstacle in East Malaysia is the people mostly can’t speak English and it’s kinda hard for tourist like you guys but glad you both make it through and patience.
We have so many different version of food so just explore Malaysia
Back in the 80's that 'Ayam' bottle drinks just cost about RM 0.50 per bottle. That Sarsi drink is sarsaparilla flavoured drink..taste almost like the A&W root beer. Anyway..welcome to Kelantan! Hope you enjoy the foods & hospitality!
