  1. I spent a few years commuting from the UK to Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Norway and driving there. After some time back in the UK, I pulled out of my parking place and found myself driving on the wrong side of the road!

  2. Considering relocating to Britain. Driving left side is truly amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. ❤😊

  3. I love this! You guys have such great attitudes even when things go awry! I love your positivity, and it has made my day brighter even though it's been like four years since you made this video🤪

  4. Hello Chaps. I know this video is four years old but I have to tell you that having driven on the LEFT hand side of the road all my life, in a right hand drive vehicle, my first time in the States; I approached my nephew's car from the left side to get into the front PASSENGER seat, and was asked if I was driving. WHAT??? The Steering wheel of the car in the States was on the wrong side. When I did eventually get to drive in California, I travelled less that 100 yards and almost wrapped myself around a lamp post. NO LEFT HAND DRIVE CARS FOR ME THANKS!!!

  5. As a Bristolian now living outside of Bristol I felt sorry for you guys driving around a city renowned for its terrible road infrastructure and the worst traffic outside of London!
Also 2 interesting facts you may of over looked if you're both film buffs. The Hollywood legend Cary Grant (Archibald Leech) was born here, and number 2 up at the Clifton suspension bridge if you're fans of bungee jumping was the first ever bungee jump back in 1979.

  6. I am a Brit who has lived in the US for 52 years. When we first came to the US, I would drive and my wife would say “STAY ON THE RIGHT” every time I had to maneuver and very often in between.
It did not take long before I could handle driving on the right.
Having been back to he UK MANY times, I have no problem switching from right to left and Vice versa.
However at an age of 80 I anticipate the switch over may become more difficult.

  7. Just don't understand the problem of driving on the "other side". Thousands of us drive in Europe each year. Pedals in same layout, driving position is near centre of road as at home. Ok, change gear with right instead of left hand, no problem. Just have to concentrate more at junctions and at roundabouts.

  8. Before I found this video, the idea of driving in the UK as an American was giving me level 10 anxiety. After watching the video, I'm at level 5 lol. I'm planning a trip to the Cotswolds from NYC since July. While I definitely want to walk the 102 miles of the Cotswolds Way I want to go off the path and visit Oxford and a other couple places within the 11 – 12 day trip. Thanks 4 years later for doing sharing this drive. I feel like this is doable for me too.

  9. In the uk there's thes little tight poles you have to squeeze through in towns do americans have them. In the uk we also have roundabouts do you also have them let me know.

  10. My wife and I are British and live in the UK and have been holidaying around the UK for the last few years because of COVID and travel restrictions. We've done a lot of driving and always use a satnav (my sense of direction is terrible) and because it is set to take you the quickest route it often takes us through the countryside down all sorts of country roads, narrow tracks etc. and because of that you see lots of beautiful little towns and villages that you would never have come across otherwise, we often just stop randomly in these places on our way to have a look around. We've found some amazing places doing this. Highly recommend it.

  11. After 2 weeks in the UK I had more experience in roundabouts than I had ever gotten in the US. A few weeks after I returned home I came across a roundabout in my city and kinda freaked out because my initial instinct was to go left around it!

  12. Having driven on both sides of the Atlantic, got to ask why they don’t make cars where the driver is in the centre of the car?

  13. explains why you got a bigger car. most auto's tend to be the bigger engine. small car easy to get in manual, but with the boring electric hybrids and electric come in small cars so they all be auto

  14. Had to watch this video today as flying out to Spain from the UK. Driven over there for many years but the first day the car seems bigger haha

  15. Its the same for us uk people first time i drove on the right i was in my right hand drive car i went on the ferry to france and let me tell you imagine driving your us sedan in london i tended to forget much more it was easier to remember keeping right in a left hand drive car i must say i drove around vancouver and seattle and wow it was so easy and so relaxed. For me first time in left hand drive car i hit the door trying to go for my gears and i sometimes reach for my seat belt over my right shoulder. I rode my motorbike 2000 miles around germany its easy on a bike
