At Aoni Onsen hot springs, all of the heat and lighting is provided by kerosene hurricane-style lamps heaters. There are both indoor and outdoor baths of different temperatures and the views from all baths are exquisite! There is almost no electricity and no Wi-Fi. Getting to this place can be difficult, however it’s well worth the effort — the scenery is breathtaking during winter! ⠀
