Which city is better for first time visitors to Asia: Hong Kong, or Singapore? English is widely spoken in both Singapore and Hong Kong, they both have great airports, and as financial hubs are well connected to most other major cities around the world. But if you can only visit one, Hong Kong or Singapore, which should it be?

I would love to see some sort of Tokyo live stream in the future! I'm actually heading to Japan this Saturday!
Thatβs different from Hong Kong and Singapore
Been to both so many times, in fact been to Singapore in January and again in May. But wife is from HK. Has lots of family there… So I vote for Singapore!!π€£π€£ JK
Both have great Chinese food, but Singapore has Malay and Indian, and more varieties of Chinese (Teow Chew, Hokkien, Hainan, Mala?). Singapore has nicer people, is safer, and cleaner. Singapore is getting a lot more expensive. And is hotter. At least you can go to HK in winter and not melt.
See, you are too thorough and eventually covered the above…
If you think Singapore is hot go to Cambodia in…anytime of year. Over 110 degrees in summer and humid as Singapore!π₯΅
Don't forget the Super Tree show at MBS.
Singapore is cleaner

You didnβt compare safety between the two cities.
I've been to MBS. I was at their observation deck. I didn't get to swim in the pool because I wasn't a guest. But I did get to see their man-made forest downstairs. I even went there at night because those trees are lit up by the florescent light bulbs.
I visited the Raffles Hotel and the concierge was eyeing me like I was Julia Roberts in the Beverly Hill Hotel in Pretty Woman. #lmao
Hooters is an American brand.
Definitely visit Boracay beach in the Philippines. Or the Palawan islands like in Avatar (you can scuba dive here too).
Without watching, easily Singa.
This was such an eye-opening video, it really made me think.
Heat builds character. Haha
Good and interesting! (Small idea to improve your videos: nothing personal, but maybe no need to show so many big pictures of yourself? The small one in the corner is enough. Generally a lot of tourist-selfies here on yt, hard to understand why.) Stockphotos, a bit like reading from a guide-book here.
Obviously good for you to spend some more time here in HK to get to know the place you ll love it, I promise….Great beaches, accesible by cheap public transport HK-island south (also on Lantau and further away in Kowloon) and Cheung Chau and Peng Chau, ever been there?
So, you have to visit next time, public ferry from Central in less than an hour, no cars on the Peng C / Cheung C, you know.
And ding-ding much cheaper than mentioned in your video, just use your plastic card next time visiting, can be bought almost everywhere.
Keep up the good work!
Iβm from Hong Kong ππ°!
If you're from the US its probably not a big deal since you have a DIsneyland in Orange County and DIsney World in Orlando. But here in Asia, HK has a DIsneyland (other one being Tokyo) and I find it is better than the Universal Studios in Singapore. Although Japan's Universal Studio is the best in the world for me (a topic for another day since its HK vs SG).
Also you forgot the shopping category, something we do a lot when traveling. I am going to use prices of iPhones as comparison and HK is cheaper because HK does not have any sales tax at all. Shopping is expensive in Singapore and their currency the Singapore Dollar is so strong that it makes it even more costly when converted to your local currency (its even more expensive than the Canadian Dollar these days, 10 years ago the Canadian Dollar is like 25% more). The Hong Kong Dollar is pegged to the US dollar so prices are more stable when converted to your local currency.
hong kong is a must visit city..wan chai–racing at nite—tram–ferry–peak–air —never say die altitude—royce royce–peninsula hotel–foods–cantonese–fanling—da pai tong—…sg? boring
HK has more tourist attraction than Singapore. Victoria peak, Victoria harbour and HK Zhuhai Macau Bridge are world class tourist attraction. Tell me what is the world class attraction of Singapore.
20 years ago I would have said Hong Kong is more interesting and the more appealing destination, but with how things are going in China, I would strongly advise against traveling there.
As a Singaporean who visit HK twice a year for work, I like to wonder around the older district of HK for its older chinese vibe on my off days, eating at a random roast meat eating house have never fail me too, better than the Michelin star Liao Fan. Maybe its because i grew up watching TVB and HK movies. My only problem is HK have either super small sidewalk or damaged sidewalk so its difficult walk.
I am sorry, but going to Hong Kong is supporting the Chinese Communist Party. Most former Hong Kong residents will not go back to Hong Kong while Communist China is in control
