  1. Great perspective. I checked out Ueno Park when I was in Tokyo in November and I kind of liked it there. I stayed in APA Kabukicho Shinjuku which I found to be way too loud at night to sleep.

  2. I actually stayed in APA in Ueno and I gotta say, it's the best place to stay if you're ending your trip, also yamanote line is the best one so far

  3. A great little and very informative video! I want Ueno to be my next base in Tokyo!

  4. Ueno is a very nice area. It's usually my go-to place if i have nothing else to do. Just a stone's throw from there is Akihabara too and it's a nice enjoyable walk as well.

  5. Hi ninja monkey. Can you make a compilation of cheap accommodation within Ueno for solo travellers. Very much appreciated

  6. you are did and awsome job with this video and like the new short and inforative video in one go …keep up the good work

  7. I LOVE these 3 min vids! I almost chose to stay in Ueno this year, but chose Shinjuku instead…Maybe next year 🙂

  8. Hi bro, would you be able to suggest some of the affordable hotels in Ueno ? I'm planning japan in May.

  9. Yea I regret staying near Sugamo station, I had to travel everywhere 😅, ueno was a super fun place to visit! Also the park was great! 😊

  10. Hello.. we planning to visit japan next month. Just want to ask where is the beat place to stay in japan? We are planning to stay in japan for 8 nights.. we also planning going to Disneyland and Disney sea.. can you please help us where is the best place to stay.. thank you😊

  11. 100% agree with you here Ninja having stayed there last week- couldn’t get enough of the area. Good video! I’m already missing it

  12. Ueno Park was the first park I went to in 2009. It's a big area with a huge pond and cute paddle swan boats that attract cute ducks to swim near. Beautiful in the Sakura season. Temple. Alleys in Ueno that have many clothing & discount stores.

  13. I agree! I usually stay in Asakusa, but last time I stayed in Ueno and it was comfortable getting around. And I liked the huge park

  14. Thank you for these videos, they are so helpful and straightforward, I’m planning a trip with a group of friends, for a 7 day trip next April, I felt so lost watching other YouTubers but this guy is amazing 🔥

  15. Thank you for these videos! I wasnt sure where to base myself when heading to tokyo this has made my decision pretty obvious! Headed there in October 🙂

  16. If I would stay in Tokyo, it would probably be Asakusa, a lot of good breakfast places. However I don't really go to Tokyo unless it cheap flight in and out of the country there.

  17. Ueno is beautiful. I had the pleasure of being in Ueno park for Hanami this year. It was wonderful! The zoo is incredible for the value as well. I think I will stay in Ueno next time I go to Tokyo. I'd recommend Tamachi for another good spot that's less quiet, however Ueno definitely has more things to see and do than Tamachi.

  18. We stayed there a few weeks ago, and Ueno really is the perfect hub to get around, and has everything an international traveler needs.

  19. I actually booked Ueno after researches (months ago) even though I know most people stay Shinjuku/Tokyo Stn. Thank you for reassuring me of my decision!!

  20. Thank you for the guide, I like Ueno.. but its still Asakusa for me, it very charming at night with the lights and less people

  21. I went to Ueno on my first trip to Japan and fell in love with it! Went back for three of my days there and on my second trip I went for one of the MyStays in the era! It was a GREAT choice. Tons of food and shopping opportunity and it's got plenty of its own attractions. Shout out to the small Shitamachi Museum and its crew of volunteers. Go give them a visit, it's worth it!

  22. Informative video!, We are staying in jpn (ueno )for only 2 days & wondered if we need to get sim card or will there be lots of wifi to help us get around ?Help ! Suggestions? Thanks
