Situated at the very centre of Polynesia, a mere four-hour flight from New Zealand, the #CookIslands is an archipelago nation comprised of 15 islands. It is spread across an area in the South Pacific three times the size of Texas.

According to legend, these tiny islands, dotted amongst the vast ocean, were discovered thousands of years ago by the very finest Polynesian seafarers. Guided by the stars and using other sophisticated navigation techniques, they landed their legendary double hulled Vakas and set about creating paradise.

It has been almost 250 years since Captain Cook became the first European to discover these islands and yet there is a gentle timelessness that endures here. #Vacation here and discover the generous rhythm and warm hospitality of the Cook Islands for yourself.

For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

  1. Paradise. Expedia videos (especially island and beach videos) take me instantly to travel mood and happy high state. By the way can anyone let me know which is the background score / music? Not able to find it anywhere…

  2. Greetings beautiful people. Please i wish to know if an immigrant can leave COOK ISLAND to NEW ZÉRLAND. If yes please i wish to know how.

  3. Expedia island videos are my go to videos whenever I feel low or bored. It immediately lifts my mood.

  4. I've been to Raro several times (on their weekly flights between LAX and RAR). It's always been the most enjoyably perfect Pacific paradise – large enough to have a lot to see and do, yet small enough it's quick/easy to get around without a rental car (bus, bicycle, hitch-hiking, etc.). It's a peaceful island with a very comfortable energy vibe to it. It makes for a very nice trip.

  5. I should explain that I've always had a lifelong fascination with volcanic Pacific paradises in many scientific ways – so that's why I've done so much travel in Pacific islands for the past 25 years. LOL, that's why I always joke that I'm secretly a Polynesian hiding inside a white man's physical body, MWAHAHAH!

  6. Since you have information about the Cook Islands and other islands .. Can I live and settle in Cook Island or other islands, and what are the best islands? Thank you very much

  11. I visited the Cook Islands in late September 2022 for my birthday and I stayed out there for 12 nights and flew back home in early October 2022.

I love both Rarotonga and Aitutaki. I did go on the Captain Tama’s Lagoon Cruizes a couple of days before I flew back home and snorkelled during that cruise with everyone else. I went hiking up to the Needle mountain or Te Rua Manga the week before that with a group through Pa’s Cross Island Hike where Bruce Pa’s nephew was the guide for the group. I visited Aitutaki for the day twice while I was out in Rarotonga and when I was visiting Aitutaki I was on the Vaka Cruise twice and snorkelled out in the beautiful ocean surrounding Aitutaki’s gorgeous motus and I snorkelled near the beach of One Foot Island.

In Rarotonga I was staying in the Titikaveka area and I stayed in Makayla Palms for the first ten nights and then I stayed in the Little Polynesian Resort for the last two nights.

I loved the local Cook Islanders and I even enjoyed meeting and chatting with all the other different tourists who were usually from New Zealand, Australia or even from the UK.

I love going to the Cook Islands so much because it’s such a stunningly beautiful country with such warm and lovely local citizens. I can’t wait to go back there again.

That trip was literally the best trip of my life so far and I had the best birthday I’ve ever had in my life while I was out there.

I can die a happy woman now that I’ve been out to the Cook Islands I swear to you.
