  1. Never knew Portuguese is that good. I only been to Brasa Rodizio on Long Island. Or is that not portuguese?

  2. Azores has its own flavor’s itself.
And it’s funny because I’m Portuguese and my wife is Chinese so our food is a fusion but a lot of food is similar

  3. Going to newark for a concert so I’ll be there fri-sun, any recommendations for Portuguese ?

  4. You’re welcome to try the Portuguese food in Fall River and New Bedford too! Lusophone culture and food is so awesome in New England. Obrigado guys!

  5. Met Mama Bats at the Portuguese fair in Mineola last year and have spoken to Joey a couple of times! Wonderful people! Should deff check out the Azorean restaurants in Fall River or New Bedford. Azorean food, although Portuguese, it has a different flavor and is a lot more spicy.

  6. Oh, I love Joey, he's such a nice guy and his mom is amazing too. Always stopped by to grab some pasteis while living back in NYC (when they had a whole in the wall, so glad they grew so much). His mom really knows how to make REAL pasteis (same taste as in Portugal).

  7. OMG…My beautiful, Kind , amazing, talented friend Isabel and her handsome, talented son JOEY!!!!!! Congrats to Joey for such a success!!!!

  8. I loved the video, Joe is amazing and you guys are super charismatic however I missed traditional Portuguese meat dishes like Feijoada transmontana, jardineira, Secretos de porco preto (black pork is literally the best pork in the world), leitão da bairrada (the best suckling pig in Portugal), baits… I say this because unfortunately most of our meat dishes are not well known. Maybe in a third round you can try some of these dishes

  9. Thanks Bros ,so delicious 😋.
There is a huge influx of Portuguese in Western MA.
You have amazing Food Joey🔥.Your Mum is an awesome woman, such nice Foods🌞🔥.
    JO JO IN VT 💞

  10. i wanna be part of his family. 🙂 Would love to try their pastis de nata this weekend, but bet line will be mad long…

  11. Great Video Guys! Shout-out to our hometown boy from Ludlow MA doing big things in the big city, Joey Batz! Super proud of all you've accomplished getting the word out about our Portuguese culture!🇵🇹…damn…Im hungry now!

  12. I like it's excessive and both of you include all experience of lunchtime and Dinner foods, which is the most both choose of all the top ⤴️ ones! Best wishes and surround a good time 👏👍

  13. It was probably the Portuguese who brought the chilis to Mozambique since all chilis are native to South America/New World and not known before 1492 and Columbus as far as I know.

  14. Love the simple corrections joey does, like when they say peri peri, and joey comes in clutch, with the piri piri

  15. Man this was one of the best food episodes bros! Been watching your channel for a long time. Best of luck guys!

  16. Actually piri-piri was introduced by the Portuguese in India first ( these peppers came from South America). Then we took it to Africa where they began to spread. The name itself has it's origin from Swahili Pilipili (means pepper).
