Today, our walk takes us from the Kurashiki station to the historic canal area, more specifically the Bikan Historical Quarter. The area is filled with old buildings and well maintained canal. It is a short 15-min walk but worth the visit. Kurashiki is also a very nice town to visit.
Kurashiki is about 2hrs from Osaka which makes it a great day trip from Osaka. You can get the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen line and then transfer to the San-yo line. If you have a JR pass, it will cover the whole trip.
