  2. Hola fly 🤓. I traveled for many years in the military, many decades ago, mainly in Europe, all very beautiful. Life threw me curveball later in life and I found myself back living and working in foreign lands as a civilian military contractor through the early 2000s for about 14 years. Needless to say many of the places I ended up in I would not recommend, lots of sand, bullets, mortars, buried bombs and generally not tourist friendly🥵🥵. I can’t really say if I’d do it again or not to be honest. It was an adventure for sure, just on a different level. All this just to say, the advancements in tech have been amazing. My first assignment, we had only an emergency SAT phone, a local burner and a 30 minute internet allotment daily. A lot was due to just the lack of infrastructure that I’m sure still doesn’t exist to this day. I think we often take for granted just how fortunate we are. An unlucky injury in East Africa ultimately took me out of the game but I often think of those times. Okay, I’m just rambling on now, just want to say that your channel and others really allow me to experience, vicariously, places I would love to have seen and experienced and for this I thank you. 😎😎 Keep the good times coming and as always, safe travels.

  3. Did you have to get your phone unlocked by your carrier to use a holafly esim?

  4. This may sound stupid but do you need wifi to activate it if you preinstall before leaving home? We are travelling from Canada to Australia and would like to use as soon as we land. Would we use airport wifi to activate? or does it automatically connect once we take airplane mode off.

  5. So when you get back home, do you just deselect the esim in your cellular under settings? How does that work?

  6. How would you scan the QR code if you're traveling alone and you don't have a separate screen?

  7. So I can't use the hotspot feature on my phone with this particular Esim – so it says on the Holafly's website ???? Unlimited data is quite rare though for an Esim so perhaps this is why.

  8. Do not buy if you are going somewhere that you may not be able to connect via wifi right away for assistance. They will not refund you your money.

  9. I am Italian and in about a few weeks I am going to be in the US, Caribbean and Canada for 6 months and I was thinking to purchase an esim to be able to send messages and connect with social media etc.
    Would you recommend it ??

  10. Interesting video. I can see that for YouTubers like you, the unlimited data makes this a great option. For many others though, it may not be worth it. I usually go through 2 GB per week, tops. On a 24 day trip like yours, I could pay $64 for Holafly, or I could pay $18 for a prepaid Three SIM card (as I do), and even that might not be the cheapest option.

  11. So does the esim basically let me use you phone in the same way I’d use it back home? Phone calls, etc? Just with a different phone number?

  12. Hey there, how does this e-sim work for calling out while in Europe, say to a local hostel or hotel ? I'll be there for 2 months and visiting minimum 6 different countries.

  13. This may sound stupid but do you need wifi to activate it if you preinstall before leaving home? We are travelling from Canada to Europe and would like to use as soon as we land. Would we use airport wifi to activate? or does it automatically connect once we take airplane mode off.

  14. I would like to thank you!! At first I was little bit suspicious about this whole "e-sim company". But I was in NY with my wife and Holafly e-sim worked perfectly well! Email received in minutes, activation also fast as hell and even your discount code worked as well 🙂 Internet was fast and stable during our whole trip. Thank you once more from Europe.

  15. would have been nice to include data speedtests. "worked very well" is open to interpretation.
A digital nomad would need at least 50mbps down.
