   I live in the south west… trust me, Mexico can be very dangerous. When my state says not to go there, I listen and for good reason. There are national parks in southern Az that have signs saying to enter at own risk due to drug runners etc. I know people don’t believe it… google it!

   We feel safer in Baja than in the US. Hopefully more people will stay scared and not travel down so there will be less Gringos clogging up the roads.

   I am so glad you had a great time. However, when our son in law,who is Border Patrol in AZ, states it is not safe to go to Mexico anywhere, it is not worth the risk anywhere. That includes all the resorts. The Cartel owns all of those. But getting to one can be dicey. We know that from a pastor friend who was stuck in jail for many days for nothing. He was vacationing there in a resort. You cannot compare it right now to the US violence, even though we are seeing many unfortunate changes here in the last couple of years. When we visited our daughter and were speaking to a local who had grown up on the border, the stories she told were indescribable. Especially with the children. So again glad you had a great time and I enjoyed your videos. But it is not apples to apples. The Cartel owns Mexico.

   Your comparison on danger in America, gun violence, particularly school shootings, tend to happen in nicer areas. Gun violence in America is very random and very dangerous.

    Is the USA safe, not at all! Mexico is safer! Now about corrupt cops, you’ll find some… give them $5 dollars and they’re gone. What can you do in the USA when what they do is make the illegal things/stuff legal so you have to pay them?! Prefer Mexico.

    Thank you for the honest review. Canadian here and I'm definitely worried about areas in the states as well. Personally LOVE Mexico and will be retiring there in the next 5 years. Like anywhere, there's good and bad and don't believe everything in the news. They're paid to be dramatic.

    I lived in San Diego and graduated HS and College in San Diego. We went to Tijuana all the time. It was totally safe back in the day. so I often have to teach people this: There is no “A” in Tijuana so it is pronounced like
    Tea Juana. No “A” and now you know. You Answered a lot of great questions! Thank you 😊

    I think my mom would have a stroke if we went to Mexico right now. I think it looks like a lot of fun and you shared great tips for staying safe. I’m sorry for Stewart’s situation. That is by far one of my greatest fears with international travel in general – government/police corruption.

    Dealing with common criminals and crime is one thing- getting physically robbed by the police is a whole other level. I’ll stick with the States and Canada thank you.

    Even though some areas of the US are dangerous at least we are in the US and we speak the language and hopefully the cops and judicial system is not as corrupt! The thought of being defenseless against Mexican or any foreign authority is what scares me most
