With the bus trip from Hiroshima to Fukuoka I am moving to the “sweet spot” of my Japan Tour – the southern Island of Kyushu.
The gateway city to Kyushu is Fukuoaka. With a population of 1.4 miliion it is by far the largest city in Kyushu. The highlight of Fukuoka is Hakata City the massive JR (Japan Rail) Station and the commercial complex it contains. It is wonderful model that the Japanese have repeated in their major cities.
