Head on to Sanmachi street in the heart of Takayama to experience walking in the Edo Period. The narrow street, along with its adjacent street, is filled with wooden houses that is now turned into shops, museums, cafe and restaurants. Walking distance to Sanmachi street is the Hida Kokubunji Temple that you should definitely visit if you are still on for some temple experience.
Later that day, weβve experience Japanese onsen where locals meets local! What a way to experience Japanese culture! After our onsen, we made sure we filled our tummy with some quality beef at Yakiniku King in Kani City.
