We had the chance to go-cart (go-kart) and sightsee around the streets of Tokyo while dressed up as Mario and Luigi back in 2018 (although it’s not an option now). Street Kart (formally known as MariCar) is an unbelievably fun and unique experience in Japan.

Street Kart has multiple courses and starting points (different shops). We opted for the 3-hour tour starting from Akihabara which included sights like the Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Gate Bridge and Shibuya Crossing.

We also took a mid-point pit stop near DiverCity and got to walk around and see the giant size Gundum (but this wasn’t their usual pit stop). The video (with my Garmin Virb camera) records the return half (which was about 110-minutes) timelapsed in sections down to about 47 minutes long. Enjoy the ride!

Also check out the timelapsed version of the first half which is only around two minutes.
