After spending ANOTHER few weeks touring Southeast Asia and THEN a couple of weeks exploring the cultures of India, we’re now halfway across the Pacific on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. It’s our first time here together but after I flew out last month to free dive with sharks for Reagan’s 16th birthday, I knew I had to bring E, B and C back to see why I fell instantly in love with the island.
This Hawaiian hotspot is famous around the world for everything from its numerous filming locations for the Jurassic Park movie franchise, to the North Shore birthplace of big wave surfing, to being ground zero for the Pearl Harbor attack that brought the US into World War II. But its FOOD SCENE is also one of the best in the world. From its Polynesian roots to its Asian influences to its global imports, the variety is almost unequaled and the flavors are fantastic.
If you’re not already hungry, you’re about to be, because we’re taking you on an all-day tour in search of the most mouth-watering sites and bites on the island.

ABOUT US
We’re the Lockwoods. And we’re traveling the world to experience—up close and in person—all the natural wonders and distinct cultures that our kids would otherwise be consuming only through textbooks and TV. We think it’s a better way to learn and we’re working hard to fund this little experiment in the hope that our kids will grow up wiser, kinder, and more grateful for the beauty of our diverse planet and its people.

Do a Japan Vlog!!! 🙂 :p
Brooklyn is so cute ❤❤
Guys! That commercial was awesome and a wonderful and unexpected surprise full of fun… Phil's drool showed his commitment to the craft. Kids tweaking on sugar was fun too.
Hahaha! Some of the other movies shot in/around Kualoa ranch include Mighty Joe Young(1988) & Windtalkers (2002)
FYI….@ 4:00…Malama=To care for, protect. Farmer=Mahi'ai=Mah-hee-eye
Clarification on Hawaii/Hawaiian directions. Majority of locals on Oahu use island areas when giving directions…North Shore/Haleiwa/Kahuku…for obvious reasons as they're on the N-side of Oahu…East/Windward…often used in reference to the area btwn Kualoa/Waiahole to Kailua/Waimanalo…S-shore, used in reference to area btwn Hawaii Kai/Maunalua Bay & Waipahu, which includes WKK/HNL & Pearl Harbor…W/Leeward… referring to area from Pearl City/Waipahu to Waianae/Mokuleia. Usually Very dry, like desert. Normal cardinal points of reference usually do not work w/regards to island directions
Taro is tuberous root, akin to potato, sweet potato & yam. The wholly taro plant represents origins of Hawaiian culture. Much too long to get into here, even in Cliff-Notes/generalized version!-lol..In essence, it's sacred cornerstone/building block of Hawaiian culture, specifically & Polynesian society, in general
I love visiting Hawaii and especially O 'ahu, my "second" home! I lived there for a year and a half! My son was born there, my "little kahuna. You enjoy the other islands like Maui and The Big Island.
Phil your " ad" was hilliariouly funny and almost legit! Ha ha : ))
My goodness so much food, looks delicious, not a sweats eating gal but looked good. I hope u shared a bite of each dessert. GOD BLESs you all and Happy EASTER! I would love to see how people celebrate the risen LORD.

You Guys Chose Some Good Places To Eat! Popular Spots For Locals As Well As Visitors. Safe Travels And Aloha🤙🏽
Can I just say that Colt has beautiful eyes? Anyways, great episode!
Taro – in Philippines we call it "Gabi" in Tagalog. But in our mother tongue ilokano from northern part of Philippines we call it " Aba ".
That's delicious when it is cook by a coconut milk, blended with some ginger, chili, pork or shrimp.
And that's what we call " La-ing" in Tagalog. Super delicious 🤤
What a cool channel!!
Sorry, Lockwoods, but your credibility as foodists has fallen at the low hurdle of knowing what Spam is! But enjoyed the rest of the video. 🙂
Excellent
I love the skit!!! and of course, I love the channel. Keep it up! 🙂
Just discovered your content yesterday coz of this vlog! I live here in Hawaii now and always love to watch content in Oahu so I can try them. I have seen a lot of content in Hawaii and yours is one of my absolute favorites! Good fun and quality information! Really enjoyed this video! Since I’m new here just wondering, how come Reagan doesn’t travel with you?
Omg, you guys totally rocked that Kuala Ranch video! We had no clue they offered such cool tours. Your channel always has something new and awesome for us to discover. And can we talk about Colt's obsession with Lizard? Too freaking cute!
Okay seriously, your vlogs always make us sooo hungry. Nelvine's all-time fave is Jenny's Shrimp. And don't even get me started on those desserts – the kids go wild for them, especially the shave ice. And Erin had me drooling when she was chowing down on that poke. Yummm!
10:39 – LOL, this is too funny 😂 We can't stop laughing at Phil's dramatic voice and all that drooling 😂 The acting was so extra, it's hilarious 😂
