Jigokudani (Hell Valley) is located at Noboribetsu Hokkaido. The surrounding area have many hotels with onsens that benefited from its hot spring waters.
I’ve seen many videos of this place but I can tell you nothing beats visiting this place during a cold winter with snow blanketing the whole place, creating a a fairy tale place in the midst of hell.
Will also recommend staying at the nearby Dai-ichi Takimotokan hotel. It is convenient and their buffet dinner is excellent.
