We only stayed here once. We had Ocean Front view and we got placed in the Kingfish building (by luck, not requested). We were in a corner unit – our main window looking onto the shipping inlet (not exactly the "ocean") and that "monstrosity" of a rusting machine that keeps the inlet sand out- that thing dominated our every view. It was not a good experience for us – we swore we would never return to the resort. Too many better options. I think "exile" is a reasonable description.
Stayed here in 2018 with the family, really liked Kingfish for the reason is secluded from the rest of the resort it doesn’t feel so crowded and you can also walk easily from the pool to the beach not like the other buildings that you have to cross the forest through the wooden deck. You really don’t need to rent beach chairs, also really liked that it had its own fitness center that was always empty not like the one in the main resort, really crowded. It also had its own garden with fresh basil and oregano that we used to cook some great meals.
We had an ocean front one bedroom villa at Kingfish in April. Specifically asked for it based on your videos. Has alot of appeal for couples without kids. Access to beach is great and we enjoy watching the boats come in and out of the inlet. Sort of like the difference between ocean club and surf club in Aruba. Different strokes for different folks.
