Actually i am from Dholpur, Rajasthan….just 5km away chambal river …i have one example. We have electronics business in Dholpur. We sell RO water purifier. Kent ro tecnical team came to Dholpur to install RO. They checked TDS .. they shocked and told us that This water anyone can drink and it fulfills the requirements of clean water. But in rainy season, chambal become Mud river but not like others river which is full of plastics, clothes , chemicals, etc… That's why Dholpur citizens started using RO bcz of too much mud in rainy season …
