The Japanese summer is that time of the year when you can enjoy an incredible variety of celebrations and matsuri all over the country; in Aomori-ken, too, there are several moments that worth attend while traveling the area.
Here I suggest you three of such Matsuri:
– the Misawa Tanabata Matsuri
– the Hachinohe Sansha Matsuri
– the Aomori Nebuta Matsuri
Of course, there’s plenty of other festivals that you can enjoy, but these are the ones I remember vividly, and that not everyone will see.
