WELCOME to a Shanghai Flyer flight review; to my subscribers out there, a warm welcome back!
In late November I flew with Hong Kong airlines for the very first time from Bangkok to Shanghai via Hong Kong onboard their A330 business class. The ticket was paid by cash at 550 USD roundtrip, which is a fabulous deal for a flat bed on a 3+2 hours journey.
As many are aware, Hong Kong Airlines has been in a desperate financial situation lately and has implemented substantial cost cut such as terminating all of their long haul routes. My experience with Hong Kong airlines during this turbulent time actually exceeded my original expectation primarily due to the hospitable crew onboard. However, one thing I found the airline culpable of is definitely the undesirable condition of their cabin product. There was something malfunctioning on all of my four flights on four different aircrafts ranging from PTV to seat control.

这款332太旧了，不可以平躺，私密性也不高，不过因为负债原因，港航商务舱特别便宜，贵宾室算中上了，总的来说性价比极高

Were you concerned when you booked this flight that HK Airlines could cease to operate just like Thomas Cook?
Hope that the airline would recover soon, it seems to be a good airline.
I had tried both lounges of Hong Kong Airlines. Honestly, both are not up to international standard. At best, it can qualify for local flights.

The inflight entertainment system was always under repair no matter where you flew, a sad excuse for having no money to pay for the movies, tv shows and games.
