  1. You're a very good videomaker Jason. I just hope that you stop overacting in your videos bec. it diminishes the value of your videos.

  2. Enjoying your story. Living here I’m amazed how Shy Fuji is. Hit or miss… mostly miss! Congratulations on your persistence.

  3. A great story on your Japan, Mt. Fuji quest. I can only imagine the feeling of walking up the stairs can be an adventure of its own. The perseverance and patience presents its reward with its exquisite view. Wishing you both safe travels.

  4. Dam 400 steps each for two days straight.. I nearly died my first round 🀣

I visited during January and had 3 clear days – my redemption trip to see Fuji-san after two previous trips failed.. it was heartbreaking.

  5. Awesome video, I love the commentary and the way you told the story. The ultra wide footage from the new Sony 11mm F1.8 looks spot on and sharp. A great little lens, I have the same one.

  6. I like to shoot grimier urban stuff, some backgrounds of you walking through the neighborhood were my "oh yeah, that would be a nice shot", overcast weather is welcome too πŸ˜†

  7. I must have been there a few days before you. The leaves were all there and we didn't have the wind or clouds. I'm pretty sure the weather was perfect because I shoot with a Canon! Your pictures turned out great though! I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one struggling with the stairs!

  8. Nailed the shots at the Pagoda. You said it best, sunrise is the best time there and if you really want them shots, more days are usually necessary πŸ˜‚

  9. Fun video! Captures pretty much every trip I've taken out to Fuji. I've stayed there for a week before and it rained non stop. No joke. But I've also nailed it weather wise a bit a go on a crazy-awesome hike at the peak of Fall there. Bucket list kind of stuff! https://youtu.be/2UJcCxMhgMs Love the series – looking forward to the other episodes.

  10. Fricken AWESOME!πŸŽ‰ I hope to have da same luck with weather as you two did! When’s da next episode??

  11. Thanks for documenting your experience! I'm going with my mom in April and we're hoping to get some good views πŸ™

  12. β€œThe answer is now obvious” for a second I thought jason was going to say β€œI need that shot don’t care about the world!” πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ .

  13. Thank you for the beautiful shots of Mt. Fuji from Fuji-Yoshida/Kawaguchiko. I currently live in Yamanashi Prefecture, and getting a good shot of the mountain is really challenging due to unpredictable weather and ever-growing crowds. So glad that your prayers to the FujiFilm gods were heard!!

Hope you come back again for cherry blossom season!

  14. Every video I watch = new fear unlocked, I’m scared. Love your content and commitment thank you!

  15. Great video! Interestingly the landscape photogs I follow hate blue skies and like a bit of mist, cloud and rain, so next season dramatic thunder and lightening behind mt Sony or was that mt Nikon ?? 🀣

  16. Man, you tell an amazing story. So much facial emotion haha … freakin love it. You're like a real life anime character.

  17. That location near Fuji is notorious for ruining the view with cloud. People have spent years visiting it to get that shot and never seen it, you have to be very lucky.

  18. Fuji-God says: "Sony G-Master: weather sealed, it is. Wait…who am I promoting?" To be honest, the footage of the clouds spilling over the mountain were as inspiring as any image could be. If you had needed moody weather for some sort of scripted dramatic footage, you couldn't have timed the trip better. Honestly, I would have liked to have seen more of that. But to get the images you had originally hoped for, I'm glad you stuck it out. They were all gorgeous.
