The deep snows in Hokkaido completely transforms locations and so this episode is a return trip, revisiting locations that I shot back in August. We visit some rock islands, some interestingly shaped icicles at the lake, and a frozen waterfall.

'Evening Shaun….. Very interesting icicle shot. Might have been a good "macro" shot too.
Shichi/Nana…To/Ju, Shi/Yon….yep, and those are just a few numbers. So many various ways to pronounce a character, depending on how it is used….and sometimes just the way a name was decided by the locals, who knows when. Sure makes it tough for those of us trying to learn and pronounce words correctly.
Ah, my favorite topic …. waterfalls! What a fabulous location! Wow, I could spend a whole day there, I think. Nice compositions. The water is a bit too creamy for my tastes, but I think you did it right to separate the numerous large icicles and the flow. Without the creamy setting, the flow might have just gotten lost in all the icicles.
Spare batteries are your friend… LOL!
All in all a very nice video, great location, nice compositions….a fruitful day, me thinks!
Thanks for taking us along…
I love that waterfall shot. I also loved the little icicles with the round bottoms. That was just cool. Great video
5:17 great soundtrack
