Kinsen has been cooking up tempura since 1907. It’s the perfect restaurant to introduce you to Edo-Style Tempura. Their specialty is the Kakiage Don, which is a massive piece of tempura on top of rice. If you’re a tempura lover, this one has your name on it.

    Is it rude to ask for vegetable only tempura? We're going to Tokyo in November and I really want to try tempura, but we don't eat any seafood.

    Is sharing the food with friends is common in Japan? Will go there in May and would love to try the kakiage, but i dont think i can finish it by myself.

    Tempura on rice is my fave. Unfortunately in the state that I live every one of the Japanese restaurants that I have been to are owned by Chinese who do not know how to make the proper tempera or the sauce that goes with it. They make some type of a red sweet-and-sour sauce which I won't eat.

    When I was 2 1/2 years old my grandmother put me on top of the kitchen table so that she could watch me while she cooked. Apparently I got into the bottle of daikon pickles and ate it…all. My grandmother told me later that she found me passed out on the table asleep with a bad stomach ache. I then proceeded to be sick all night because I gorged myself on those pickles. Lol

    高いよー全然リーズナブルじゃ無い‼️
    割烹天ぷらの高級なヤツと違って全然田舎天ぷらだし東京にはもっと安くて美味い天ぷら出す店いっぱいある。
    あれなら寧ろチェーン店のてんやの方が美味いと思った。
