  1. My Grandkids would want me just to go and order coffee there ( Amanda ) lol 😂 so can watch the robot 🤖 lol 😂

  2. Welcome to Seattle. Boeing hired me when I graduated from UH back in 1980. Started work just before Mount Saint Helens erupted and blew its top. Nice to see you enjoying the waterfront and pier scene. Looks like you had a great sunset. 🌈🤙

  3. Nice video! I haven't been to Elliot's in at least 30 or 40 years. Nice walk down memory lane. My dad is a HUGE Ivar's fan. He used to fly up from California just to eat at Ivar's, and then fly back down the same day. lol. It's not the /best/ fish and chips in the world, but definitely the best fast food fish place you'll probably find. (Oh .. and it is pronounced like "divers" as opposed to "die-VARs". Although, I never really thought about how the spelling is totally not like it sounds.) Did you guys get to ride the ferry? Even just a quick ride over to Bainbridge Island is worth it. It's so nice to ride on it and just enjoy the scenery. I used to go do a bunch of back and forth rides on the ferry (same price as a one-way if you don't get off the boat) and just meditate while looking out at the water and mountains.

Can't wait for the next one!

  4. You chose right on the salmon and next time you come to Puget Sound gotta get the Dungeness crab! Eating Ivar's on that pier is SO ICONIC! I'm so happy you checked it out! Anthony Bourdain was a huge fan of Ivar's clam chowder.

  5. Hi Amanda and Felix, love your tip to the main land. I have a question, what’s a place for oysters in Waikiki?

  6. Kumamotos are definitely the ones. So good. Glad y’all got some fresh oysters in the 206!

  7. I like my oysters fresh oysters barbecued in the shell till they open then eat it's delicious and I am in Oregon. We love our sea food also. The sea food looks delicious. 😋

  8. You guys make me go to the Seattle right now, I am in LA 😂😂😂. I had some Ivar's clam chowders and fish & chips before but not at Elliot's. I almost cried when you guys were drinking the oysters😁😁😁. Thanks for sharing food memories.

  9. Great choice going to Elliott's!

The sun sets early during Winter. If you come in July the sun sets at 9:00.

The best crab is Dungeness. Get the whole crab and eat the "kane miso".

One thing you should eat on a cold day at Elliott's is the cioppino. Great Italian style seafood soup. Hot and full of shellfish, crab, cod and veggies.

I'm glad you got to go to Ivar's. Next trip, try feeding frys to the seagulls.

  10. I work right across the street from Eliot’s, so get waterfront foods pretty often. I usually get the Cajun-spiced cod at Ivar’s. Not a clam fan, so I also sometimes get their smoked salmon chowder instead of clam.

  11. My husband used to work in the building above Elliott's–the views were distracting! Def. a great choice for oysters & the sunset. Kumamotos are an all-time favorite, and agree with other commenters that I hope you find some Dungeness crab while here or in Vancouver. It is a local specialty–we have come to love it more than lobster. Thanks again for sharing your trip!

  12. Really enjoying “ Amanda and Felix Eat Abroad” series❤❤❤ Looks like u had an amazing time eating in Seattle! Can’t wait to see your Canada series!!! Loved the AI coffee place too! Great job!!! Keep up the great episodes!!! Mahalo!!!

  13. Really loving your Seattle tour! I see that you two went to Dick's Burgers on Broadway and Hotcakes! I was also going to mention those two places. I can't wait for the next video! Hopefully you guys check out the views from the Space Needle. You should come back during our summer!

  14. Appreciate how you keep things real. Felix feels the need to apologize about the lighting? I appreciate the real, almost like sitting across the table from you perspective.
We love going to Seattle.Haven’t been to Elliot’s, but Cutters is great…. Crab Pot is fabulous. Ivars was freaking great!
Keep it up guys! We love the watching you enjoy those great restaurants!

    Mike and Marnie

  15. I wish we had an Ivar's Fish Bar in Hawaii! I love fish 'n chips, clam strips and chowder! Seattle looks like a great time…minus the cold. brrrrrrr….

  16. Glad you are both enjoying Seattle. This video made me smile. Next trip, venture out of Seattle and visit the rest of WA! I’m a transplant from HI and have lived in WA for over 20 years. The summers here are mostly amazing (unless we’re having a 90°+ heatwave). Looking forward to your next adventure!

  17. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself in Seattle but yes venture out I’m from Washington and it would of been awesome to show you guys around my tribe and enjoy the great seafood we have on our lands

  18. Fish and Chips are English in origin where french fries are known as chips. Usually eaten with malt vinegar.

  19. Aloha Amanda & Felix. The seafood looked delicious! I love crab (king is my favorite) I normally go for the legs, but the claw has a lot of meat as well. The fried clams you ate look like the large strips, very meaty! The best are the whole belly clams you find in New England. What a beautiful sunset, so happy you caught that on camera.

  20. If you are still in Seattle and want to splurge (cause it’s a bit on the costly side), take the drive to Alki and go to Salty’s. The best is Saturday or Sunday brunch (all you can eat brunch, seafood, etc). They have dinner hours, I have never gone. Anyhow….there is three in the USA, and one is in Seattle. I’ve gone twice (always during the Holiday Season). Definitely check their website to look at their menu, “Salty’s on Alki”.

  21. Kinda off topic. Next time you fly in, you have to drive into Seattle at night. The sky line at night makes you see how huge and beautiful Seattle is. It's always a sight after flying back from Honlulu 🙂
