Take a walk in Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, Okayama

(Train)about 8 minutes walk from JR Kurashiki station to Bikan Historical Quarter (Car)15 minutes from Kurashiki IC on San’yō Expressway (Airport)35 minutes by airport bus from Okayama airport.
This is the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Area, which was prosperous when it was under direct control of the Shogunate government during the Edo period. The area is beautiful with traditional Japanese architectures such as storehouses with white and namako walls, and streets lined with willow trees.
So, enjoy not only the tourist spots, but also the area’s townscape that is in harmony with old history by marveling at the rows of willow trees along Kurashiki River, visiting galleries and dining in cafes.
