  1. Hi Tony,
Thanks for all you do for the cruising community.
One topic I have not heard mentioned in quite a while is back-to-back cruises. Does it seem to you, at this point in time, that we will be permitted to book 2 cruises back-to-back?

  2. We have a cruise booked on 5/31, and are of course, not confident it’s going to go. If it does, we’re on it, if it doesn’t we’re either going to be visiting Florida again, or maybe booking an all inclusive.

  3. We've already had our Alaska cruise for May on Holland America cancelled and full refund received. Given that, we've booked an ABC cruise on Celebrity for the end of October. We're hopeful but it also may get canceled too because its 9 days and the conditional framework doesn't expire before then. To hedge that, we've booked a 5 day Key West and Cozumel on Celebrity for early December. If none of that works out, we've still got a family cruise on Disney booked for March 2022. At this point, its more like just tossing a handful of darts and seeing what sticks!

  4. I’m not hopeful for May or June cruises. I believe the CDC will not give guidance for test cruises until the end of March if that. I believe the CDC is waiting to see how the rate of vaccinations progress in the US and also to see where we will stand with the onslaught of the new Covid variants. In my honest opinion, the CDC should just reinstate the ‘No Sail Order’ instead of giving cruise companies and cruisers alike false hope. I don’t see cruises starting back up until September at the earliest.

  5. I have a cruise booked for May 8th, if they cancel it the family want to go to universal studios. We might just do that anyway we don't want to be the first one's to sail

  6. Make sure you get your covid vaccine and Bible before you go on a cruise.I love cruising and have gone on 14 of them but would I go on one now???There is "No Way " and I have had both vaccines !!!!

  7. I have an Alaskan cruise scheduled for May on NCL…. big sigh.

I'm still hopeful for my Mediterranean cruise in September though.

  8. We just booked a Viking River cruise from Prague to Paris at the end of Sept. In speaking with them about what they will be doing, here what I was told. They will test twice a day with the PCR spit test. They will continue that protocol when you are taking either pre or post excursions. Also, they will provide a letter that will be needed to flight back to the US.

  9. Spoke to NCL yesterday. They said we will know something next week. Barcelona isn't letting US citizens in. Guess Western Mediterranean on May 2 will not go

  10. I have two cruises booked in May with Carnival. However I’m thinking Carnival will probably cancel May cruises within the next week or two. By now I’m getting used to it… I’ll just rebook them if they’re canceled. I’ve rebooked one of my cruises 4 times… but I think this 4th booking is going to be a go… it’s in August🤞🏻

  11. Now that the impeachment trial is over Sen Murkowski of Alaska will make this a priority for her State of Alaska. She already said it’s a huge blow to her states economy

  12. I have a cruise booked to Norway leaving from South Hampton with Princess in August 2021. Hoping it's a go!!!

  13. Way I see it, there will be no cruising, leaving US ports at all this year. Companies have a lot riding on this and know that to cruise with covid19 still infecting so many, will be a liability for them. United States, American citizens are suit crazy, waiting for anything going awry to suit the pants off of people and companies. Until covid19 is controlled, meaning a high percentage of people are vaccinated, until they can push people into being tested at least twice before stepping into a ship, and lastly, until the numbers of people getting covid goes sufficiently low, sorry, but I see no cruising. In the meantime, they will still accept reservations, take the money from reservations and deposit it in their high interest earnings bank accounts, which when you start adding up, it might not be that much, but at least it is something, at least they're getting some profit.

  14. May Caribbean cruise on Celebrity that has been moved forward twice already. 9 cruises booked through 1/23 so we will wait for next one in Aug. to Norway. In the meantime we bought a Travato camper and will see the USA.

  15. We are suposed to CVruise with Disney mid may 2021 (3rd cruse ever). We did pay it off. So plan B is hopefully they give us 125% cruise credit can apply that to 2022 & then do even more stuff then. 2021 looks like it is going to be lots of local trips to state parks etc with hikes & nature stuff for adventure.

  16. I’m supposed to cruise in Alaska in May, but I’ve lost confidence. I’m planning a land-based trip up there instead and will fly or take train between towns I want to visit. For Skagway, I’ve looked at the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system to get to and from there. I’ve been looking at cruises in 2023 to transfer my money already paid to a new booking.

  17. Just got an email from Carnival today. While not cancelling our May 9th cruise out of NOLA it gave us options on cancelling the cruise without losing our payments if we wish. We are going to ride it out until we either cruise or Carnival cancels. If we do cruise there is a $100 OBC in addition to any other OBCs we have gathered along the way. So why not hang in there. 🙂

  18. I've got a May cruise booked on Enchantment of the seas out of Baltimore.. pretty positive that it will be a no go.. hoping my Nov 2021 wil go on the same ship.

  19. Our May 1 st cruise on the Mardi Gras for our 35th wedding anniversary was canceled. We are going to Florida for a week…no comparison.

  20. I have a cruise booked for May 31 after having 3 cancelled last year I thought May would have been a safe bet. Something has to be done with the CDC, We the people have to force them to work with the cruise lines to get this industry back!

  21. I have a cruise booked for May 2021 with Norwegian – did it last year with my credits from the 2020 cancelled cruise. When I go onto the site, I still have a cruise booked, but it says "Default Itinerary Name" instead of "7 Day Bermuda Round Trip ". We are not planning on cruising this year, but I was hoping the cruise would cancel so we would get more credit deals. Not sure is "Default Itinerary Name" means the cruisewill be cancelled or not. .

  22. Hey so on May the 27th I’m going to Nassau and Freeport Bahamas from Jacksonville on Carnival Cruise Line. Do you think that we’ll be good to go? I personally think because the Covid Vaccine will be out for enough time right ?

  23. Alaska is a simple one. Canada says no cruises in 2021. Highly unlikely the ships will be aloud to skip the non-American port has never been aloud before.

  24. I have a cruise scheduled in May and im hoping and praying to not get cancelled 🙏 if Singapore is doing ok then a 4 day trip to coco kay should be ok with protocols in place!
