The group of volunteers from Australia left on Sunday and I stayed in Siem Reap for work, mostly to chaperone a photographer to take professional photos of our programs. While there, I mostly hung out near new the market and pub street, but also went to a very authentic Italian restaurant called L’Oasi, which is apparently the only place around that makes real cheese.

Restaurants:
Sister Srey
L’Oasi
Fifty5
Cafe Central

Hotel:
Viva Hotel – $15/night

  1. Are there any orphanages or old peoples home for anyone to come over and live there doing service .

  2. Why in the hell would you eat at an Italian restaurant while in Cambodia? Just open up your mind and eat the street food like the common folk do.
I also heard real bad things about nonprofit organizations run by foreigners. I hear they all collect tons of money but only a very small portion of donations actually make it to the poor children it was intended for.
