Why we were so excited to visit Sapporo last winter? Yes, Sapporo have the biggest winter event in Japan, The Sapporo Snow Festival (Yuki Matsuri) which held during one week every February, and this year was held on 4 – 11 February. The Snow Festival is staged on three sites: the Odori Site, Susukino Site and Tsu Dome Site.
The main site is the Odori Site in Sapporo’s centrally located 1.5 kilometer long Odori Park. The festival’s famous large snow sculptures, some measuring more than 25 meters wide and 15 meters high, are exhibited there. They are lit up daily until 22:00.
Besides about a dozen large snow sculptures, the Odori Site exhibits more than one hundred smaller snow statues and hosts several concerts and events, many of which use the sculptures as their stage. Also, there are many food & beverage stalls serve up a range of winter-warming local eats, from jacket potatoes to soup curry to the freshest of the fresh seafood, as well as hot chocolate, amazake (a sweet sake drink) and whisky.
Bytheway, it’s my first video editing on Adobe Premiere Pro ~ yep finally i have urge to edit video on a desktop, not using some apps on my phone as usual 😆 and the whole video was taken on DJI Osmo Pocket, love the results and compact convenience taking video in real situations like this one ✌
