  1. I don’t know for sure about the bath tubs but I’ve been staying at the Disney resorts since the early 90s and many used to complain about tripping on the bath tub. Now as an adult I request a handicap room because I have lupus and the walk in shower is SO much better in terms of tripping on it. Disney also provides shower chairs and such which is fantastic!

  2. is animal kingdom lodge getting laminite floors? i don't have a prefrence cause i've put my feet on both hardwood AND laminite AND carpet in the morning(cause my grandparent's house is carpet but my current is hardwood but my past house was laminite) and i'm going to be staying at animal kingdom lodge so i was wondering :/

  3. Regarding showers with handheld shower heads, I don’t see how any woman can rinse thoroughly with out one!!!

  4. On bathtub: I would not ever use bathtub in hotel for me or family. Don't trust the cleanliness of it.

  5. Showers conserve water, and are easier/faster to sanitize. My kids were never bothered about showers. Make it a fun “rain shower” experience, or if you have an infant, just hold them, and take a shower together! Removal of tubs is not a deal breaker.

  6. Ok, so
They destory Disney Quest and turn it into an NBA experience. Don’t get me wrong, I love basketball but really? An NBA experience? It’s a big space and they could do so much more with it. I loved Disney Quest and I was hoping they would replace it with something better…but I guess not.

  7. No bathtubs in a place geared towards smaller kids….yeah that's a brilliant move. SMH
Disney: "For an extra fee, we can provide you with a portable plastic bathtub for your children"
    brings in rubbermaid tote

  8. The sky line would be scary
    1. I’m dead scared of heights so I don’t think little kids would appreciate it
    2. It’s going over non Disney owned property aka highways therefor with the day we live in shooters
But on the other time I think it’s and awesome idea

  9. I do have a question about bag checks. My fiance and I are planning to go on our honeymoon to Disney in Florida, and he's type 1 diabetic, so my question would be would he need to show proof that he is T1D? We would have to bring in his needles and meds for whatever meals he needs and Idk if the guards would know that they are for his insulin or that we would need to show proof to them that that is what they are for.

  10. I get why they're putting in the laminate/wood but after a long day I find it harder on the feet than carpet. Definitely going to keep that in mind for the future and I hope they don't put the hard surfaces in ALL the resorts.

  11. I love all your videos . I am planning a trip to DW in the spring of 2021 is there any advice you could give me . it is a family reunion

  12. As far as bath tub removal, it can be for safety reasons. Bath tubs can be unsafe for little ones and adults alike and a walk-in shower can be seen as a safer alternative. Its also easier and quicker to clean for the staff, not to mention saving on water bills. These are just thoughts though

  13. Hi. I’m guessing the bathtub removal is for water and energy saving. Disney will say it’s for conservation, but let’s face it, it saves money and increases margins. I stayed at a higher end Hyatt in Houston and that had no bath. It’s making sense in our climate aware society, but my wife often needs baths for her bad back, or my daughter has them to soothe cramp after exercise. Shame they’re going.

  14. I honestly prefer the more sanitary aspect of the shower as compared to the bath. I know hotels normally do clean well, but I like a shower I can stand in and get clean quickly as compared to putting my keister where many more keisters have been.

  15. I am so sad that they are taking the bath tubs out! My kids have special needs and completely hate showers because they cannot stand water pouring on their heads.

  16. Bathtubs, when not cleaned properly often can retain unseen and unnoticeable mold and other unsanitary bacteria. Especially if these hotels have not been renovated in a while the tubs are probably not put in with a water sealant under tub and around the drain its most likely going to keep those bacteria and mold around the tub.

  17. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or even when the change occurred, but now when you make a dining reservation, before you have purchased you dining plan, you have to pay for many in advance as if you were not going to purchase the dining plan. I had no idea about this, and we were late noticing the 180 day window and my niece was making the reservations for the 9 of us in a hurry so as to get several things we didn't want to miss. She had found times for us at restaurants like Be Our Guest and Hoop Dee Doo, but she was so afraid that she would not be able to get acceptable times or any times, if we stopped to pay for the dining plan (which has to be through DVC when you are a DVC member), that she paid almost $1000 to get those reservations. I was so upset, that she had to pay that kind of money just to secure our reservations because I didn't know about that change. She told me it was not a big deal that she would get her money back after we showed up to the reservation with the dining plan on our magic bands. So lesson learned, don't wait to get the dining plan paid for. I asked if she could get her money after we had paid for it, they said no, not without risking the reservation. She said she would just use the refund to pay for Christmas bills. I have to just "Let it go!" But everytime I think about it, it gets me upset. Anyway just passing this along so no one else gets a surprise. DJ when talking about dining reservations at 180 days out, can you please mention this every time to pass this word along.

  18. We just stayed at the once beautiful Beach Club resort. Wow we’re we disappointed. The pool is now dirty and feels run down, no ones walking around to pick up garbage. Our room was bare bones. No pretty carpet , replaced with vinyl flooring, no bed skirt, no pillows or bed runners, nothing feels Disney in the room at all. Feels like a Best Western actually. The furniture choice is odd and dated. The bathrooms off lobby were sadly dirty which never happened years ago. In the past Disney characters appeared in lobby. I didn’t see one in 4 days. The pool was the biggest disappointment though , one of our favorite things in the past. I do like the location so probably would return for that reason but I think a new general manager is needed badly

  19. Interior Designer here: Showers are considered safer for most adults and kids because there isn't the big step up. They likely made the change because there are many adults that find it hard to step over a tub and were likely filling up the ADA rooms, additionally, a glass shower door is far more likely to allow a lovely water puddle to appear on the already slick tile floor – making it safer from this perspective as well.

  20. Loved the old downtown Disney. Not a fan of Disney Springs…. Too huge, too crowded, absolutely not a rest from going to the parks like it used to be. It's lost all of its charm, imo.

  21. Some handicapped visitors, like myself, actually need a bathtub to put our shower seat in because we don't have the ability to bear weight. I've stayed at hotels that say that they're handicapped accessible, but, when I get there, I find out that they have open showers with fold-down seats that aren't feasible for those who cannot use our legs for stability while we're showering.
