2JZ is name of an engine made by Toyota. Turbocharged inline 6 cylinder, 3.0L. The engine is so famous because it is really overbuild, it can stand enormous amount of horsepower.

The 2JZ engine (The 2nd generation of the Toyota JZ inline-six engine) is a highly sought after Toyota 3.0L inline 6 cylinder, found in the Toyota Supra (Mark IV), Toyota Soarer/Lexus SC300, Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS300, as well as a few other cars. It is known for its strength, being able to reach 1,000+ horsepower when built well. When they are stock, they make about 280-350hp depending on the engine trim (turbocharged vs naturally aspirated, fuel efficient cylinder heads vs power-oriented heads, etc.)
