Ningbo listed among top 10 ‘Chinese Cities of Opportunities’.
Ningbo is now a local commercial centre and a busy port for northeastern Zhejiang.
Ships of 3,000 tons can use the port, and there is regular passenger service to Shanghai. A large passenger terminal was built in 1979. A separate newer port, Beilun, east of the city on the southern coast of Hangzhou Bay, is now one of China’s largest deep-water seaports with container-handling facilities. Established in 1985, Beilun is now a district of Ningbo.
There are rail and expressway links with Shanghai via Hangzhou, and the new Hangzhou Bay Bridge (opened 2008) more directly links Ningbo to the Shanghai region; the bridge, 22 miles (36 km) in length, is one of the longest sea bridges in the world.

A Historic Port City & Waypoint to Mt. Putuo
——————⭐⭐
Lying in the east of Zhejiang, Ningbo sits at the mid-point of the Chinese coastline, towards the south of the Yangtze Delta.
It is adjacent to Shaoxing to the west and Taizhou to the south.
The annual cargo throughput of Ningbo Zhoushan Port ranks first in the world, and the container volume ranks the top three.
For tourists, what is worth visiting is the cultural heritage deposited in the city.
First, pay a visit to Tianyi Pavilion, the oldest library in Asia. The Old Bund of Ningbo, a former foreign concession, has made an indelible mark on Ningbo.
Many old European-style buildings have been transformed into bars and restaurants.
Charming lakes in the North of the city are also ideal places for outdoor relaxation and cycling.
Visitors can also take a visit to Mt.Putuo, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. It takes 1 hour and 40 minutes to there by car.

How to Get to Ningbo
——————⭐⭐
Located at the southwest of Ningbo City, Lishe International Airport (NGB) began serving the public in 1990 and has developed into an important air hub in east China. It is about 11 kilometers (6.8 kilometers) away from the urban area.
Presently, many flights operate here, connecting the city with destinations both at home and abroad including Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, Kunming and Shenzhen. There is one railway station in the city for passenger transport: Ningbo Railway Station. Besides, there are convenient coaches, ferries, city-buses, metros and taxis to get around the city.

Silk Road via Sea
——————⭐⭐
In the 1960s, some Japanese scholars raised the concept of the Silk Road via Sea. For, whether by sea or land, the Silk Road refers to the broader concept engaging in communication between the East and the West as in ancient times.
Today, many research institutes, museums and memorials have mushroomed along the sea routes of related countries or cities, and a number of well-organized activities have been held. Among the 102 historical and cultural cities in China, Guangzhou, Quanzhou and Ningbo are most famous for their deep involvement in the silk trade via sea.
Ningbo’s involvement with the Silk Road via Sea since ancient times has been evidenced. Artifacts from the Hemudu Culture site prove that the locals were quite active as navigators!
It is especially noteworthy that after the Tang and Song dynasties Ningbo became a key port for the exporting of chinaware, making itself as famous as Guangzhou, Yangzhou and Jiaozhou.
History has also recorded the communication between Ningbo and Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia in past centuries.
Ningbo is also the hub of a water-transportation network of coastal junk traffic and canals.
It is a collection centre for cotton and other agricultural produce of the plain, for the marine products of the local fisheries, and for timber from the mountains in the hinterland, and it is a major distribution centre for coal, oil, textiles, and consumer goods. In 1984 Ningbo was designated one of China’s “open” cities in the new open-door policy inviting foreign investment.

Bonjour.
Ningbo is one of the most beautiful cities of china
Max,
Stunning Ningbo!
China looks cool until you remember all the censorship and propaganda.
Another impressive show of Chinese architecture. I do often wonder why infrastructure in other 'Western' cities just doesn't seem to match up to not only the modernity but also the well planned aspect of many of these cities. Thanks again for sharing this with us.
you can never imagine what it is living in America and UK now !!!!
Nice video. BTW,
!!! Love how your camera captures the lights at night! Happy New Year 🧧🐰
1 CITY FROM 100 BIG CITIES
👍👍👍

Nice video, wonderful walking tour in Ningbo

Ningbo is wonderful by it's cultural but you foreigners only can see the modernization . Ningbo is a tier-3 city. We have dozens of cities like this in China.
ich will nach china…!!!

This is so lovely!!!
Max! Ningbo mixture of new and old architecture, Nice indeed! Thanks 😊
China is very bad on football ⚽ but I really want to congratulate them for their marvelous towns and cities and their awesome way and quality of life. 🥇🏆
Arf!
I m in 1h30 min of the video, still lots to watch :D. It's such a cool city. Super clean, super nice and some places are very large .
I repeat myself, but i really find crazy that all China cities have this necessity to make everything creative. The simple spot get a small light, a drawing, a painting or sculpture to make it look super cool. That something i never seen before i checked your video the first time… Even tho, i visited some otehrs countries, from France (obviously) to russia, japan, italia, england, spain, etc.
This is kind of Unique to China to me for now.
When you get out of the mall, there is a police officer talking with some people. He doesn't sound very happy. I guess theses people made something illegal or bad :/. (or maybe it's just the police officer voice that sound angry, but he is not.)
Wow, that boulangerie named "Paris Baguette"…. -_- Oh come on. XD
WOW WOW! i really love the first cathedral and the second church :O, with the light and all, they look amazing and soo big ! I m pretty sure christian is low in China, there is probably more buddhist (of course) and muslim. But WOW! such big cathedral in China, that was not expected at all :O
How, that little jesus native room is cute XD, with a little christmas tree next to it. Such thing i never expected to see in China. It show a big respect from chinese people on the others religions, such a nice thing 😀
1:04:11 That i like :D, a mix between christmas decoration and chinese style. Like i said, China is the Number 1 about decoration everywhere.
1:09:41 Like i said, even a simple light on the ground with petals make a street instantly looking so much better 😀
1:22:53 I feel like they gonna be a looooooots more soon :D. Bunny rabbits everywhere for the new year ! HA HA HA XD
1:33:54 That's where i stopped for now XD, still have more than half the video to look at. Wow, thank you for such super long video, it's really cool. But it should be a pain for you to upload such large video :O
Thank you again for this video, I didn't finished it yet, but it's already so cool :O. I discovered some new stuff from China again XD
I checked on google translate how to pronunce the name of the city, and it seems (if google translate is correct) that you dont pronunce the "g"… it's like "nin…bo". I knew i needed to check, because Chinese language is always full of traps like this XD, letter that you dont pronunce or that are pronunced differently (i hear that with the numbers :D)
Now, i m gonna check the rest of the video today during lunch and enjoy everything, Thank you alots again 😀
Happy New Bunny Year! 😀
which camera do you use for videos ..kindly replay
How everything looks new? Even old cities. I am in shock. Seems this government really cares and take care of it's citizens
now that lockdowns are over please do more of these videos
