After our video shoot, we found a cute “Japanese Pop Culture” store that caught our eye! Lucky and I walked into JapanLA and they were nice enough to let us shoot some video of their store.

Thanks for letting us shoot around your store, JapanLA!

I’m sure most people watching this knows what a Bao is. 包子 (Baozi) is similar to a 馒头 (Mantou). Both are from Northern China.

They look similar to a 왕만두 (Whang Mahn Doo) which is Korean.
It literally translates to King Dumpling.

But since this is a Japanese store, wouldn’t you just call these 肉まん (nikuman)? 🤔
肉まん (nikuman) is the Japanese word for 包子 (baozi)

魔女の宅急便 (Majoh no Takkyubin/Witch’s Delivery Service/Kiki's Delivery Service)
