Mar. 2018, Shirakawa-Go, Japan – Shirakawa-Go is the largest cluster of Gassho-Zukuri style houses in Japan which literally means “like praying hands”.
Each tradition bygone-era houses are built without nails and have withstood since the 1800’s. The existing houses serve as museums, explaining the history of the region, architectural styles and features.
This unique gassho-zukuri village will transports us back to pre-modern Japan.
