With travel plans looking like they’re canceled for the near future we thought we’d take you on a virtual vacation to New York City. For us planning our next trip is how we escape from whatever anxiety, discomfort, or restlessness we might have. And it wasn’t until we were stuck in quarantine that we realized just how much we used it as an escape. When we were back at home for the first time since moving to NYC 6 months ago the idea came to us. What if we took YOU on your dream vacation to NYC virtually. I hope watching this brings a little moment of joy or peace to your day.

Moving to NYC has been a dream for so long and we’re so grateful to finally call this city home! We moved to New York for college though this year we’re taking a gap semester because of virtual learning. Sasha is a fashion business major at FIT, and Christy is a nutrition and dietetics major at NYU. We’re identical twins and we have a joint fashion and lifestyle blog The Manhattan Diary, and Christy runs her custom stamped jewelry business Once Upon a Stamp on the side.

Make sure you subscribe for more vlogs and fun videos where we’ll be sharing everything from fashion, New York lifestyle, sustainability, health + wellness, college life, and business tips!

  1. Loved this video, such a good idea for right now especially. The Top of the Rock is one of my favorite places in nyc – those views are amazing!

  2. What I love about NYC is that you can visit over and over again and, each time, there is something new or another layer to the city! I recommend the top of One World Trade Center or the Vessel too. It's a bummer that Broadway has shut down because I always see a show when I go there. For your inner child and nostalgia, I recommend visiting FAO Schwartz, it's a lot of fun to explore even as an adult!

  3. I have been to NYC 4 times for ,about a month each time. I have done just almost everything. My favorite is when I claimed the Ms. Liberty, all the way to her crown, 363 steps up 363 down. My biggest worry was my ankle, since I broke the both and major surgery on my right ankles. This was saved to do for a February trip so I would not get over heated. One thing I missed ever time was the 911 museum, make sure you go to the one next to the water memorial, it also cost a little more but a better museum. Most people do not know the numerus thing that are free to do in NYC, 911 is free on Tuesday after 5pm, not sure on the time. Some museum are not a set price, just a donation. That is a good ideal is to do all the FREE things in NYC.

  4. Loved this video! It is so amazing hearing your perspective on the city you once dreamed of to now the city you call home. I think it would be super cool if you all did a travel video on each of the neighborhoods in NYC! or even a little tour to all of your favorite coffee shops in the city!

  5. This was fabulous from start to finish and the views wonderful! Thank you! 😊👏

  6. Was waiting for this video!! Miss NYC so much, thanks for the amazing content!! Lots of love from Brazil

  7. loved loved loved the video omg 🙂

My dream has always been to visit NYC and it was about to become true until covid hit. I was supposed to go there to celebrate my eighteen birthday, which is this year, I was born in 2003 and I'm from Spain. As soon as I realized that I wouldn't be able to go to New York after a loooong period of time, I was very sad. Then I came to the conclusion that I will eventually go there and live there for sure, and even though that cannot happen now, it will definitely happen in the future.

Once again, loved the video, and thank you so much for making it. Can't wait to watch more.

  8. Absolutely enjoyed this, didn't realize how much I needed a video like this. I miss travelling so much – and lockdown rules in Canada, specifically Toronto, have been incredibly strict. With a lockdown longer than 100 days, this was a breath of fresh air. 💖

  9. Love the video! I would love to see the High Line walk up to the new Vessel and all the new attractions there -I think there is a new look out spot -but a stop at the Chelsea Market first -fabulous lobster rolls!
An Eately opened in Toronto but just before Covid so I have not visited yet.

  10. Such a great video! That view 🤩 I’m not a big YouTube fan but I adore your channel. I think it’s because it’s soothing and is sort of a virtual vaca which is so nice especially in these times. We missed out on our family trip to nyc this year so it’s so fun to see and learn the different places for when we can one day visit. Also penne noodles for me 🙋🏻‍♀️ 🍝 lol Have a great week!

  11. What a sweet video that made me dream of the city I love so much ! From getting cupcakes at Magnolia and eating them outside of Rockefeller center to eating pasta and cannolis in little Italy, I cannot wait to go back after pandemic is over ! Love you both so much ! 💖🌸🌺

  12. Loved this video! I moved to NY around the same time as you all and I definitely need to check out these places! Also my favorite pasta is rotini 🙂

  13. Loved this video! I’ve lived in NYC for the past 5 years and think this is the best city in the world. You guys should do a Brooklyn day walking on the Brooklyn bridge, then spending some time at brooklyn bridge park (my personal favorite city views, esp at sunset), grab some dinner at Juliana’s Pizza, ride bikes around the loop in Prospect park, walk around the Brooklyn promenade and and all the cute Brooklyn heights brownstones. The list goes on and on! Also the Roosevelt island tramway is always fun and a great view! And you can ride the ferry back! Can’t wait for part two!

  14. Wow this looks so Covid safe! I have immunocompromised people in my circle, but would love to visit the MoMA! What day of the week do you recommend visiting more touristy places like that?

  15. The Top of the Rock part gave me chills! The way how you describe your experience seeing the city as tourists vs. living there now is so special! And I can't wait for when I can say that as well <3
