■ About Atami Sea Fireworks
The Atami Sea Fireworks Festival is a historic fireworks display that began in 1952. It is a specialty of Atami that is held more than 10 times throughout the year, not just in summer. The venue, Atami Bay, is surrounded by mountains on three sides and is shaped like a mortar, so the sound of fireworks from the sea reverberates, creating a sound effect similar to that of a large stadium. It is the best fireworks launching venue in Japan. The fireworks that spread in the night sky, the fireworks that are reflected on the surface of the water, and the beauty of the “Niagara in the Sky” that decorates the finale are so beautiful that you will forget to blink! It is an event unique to Atami where you can make memories that will last forever.
