Restaurant I visited: https://oborozuki.com.au

10 Course Kaiseki – $380 AUD
+ matching wines / sake – $185 AUD

In this video, we’re going to be heading to a new restaurant in Circular Quay and experiencing one of the most extravagant and insane meal experiences I’ve ever had! This was a 10 course Japanese Kaiseki feast, with starts such as oysters and a superr silky chawanmushi (steamed egg) to mains such as ozaki beef and steamed fish, and then finishing off with dessert.

I think this is one of those restaurants that I’d go to celebrate pretty big milestones – I honestly really hope to go again, but for now, I will just rewatch this video… lol

  1. not sure if you guys noticed, but I spelt 'episode' wrong last video. It's now spelt correctly haha
VLOGMAS #2 done and dusted! Have a great weekend and I'll see you guys next MONDAY! also thank you sooo much for all the video suggestions!

  2. Thanks for sharing the kaiseki dinner with us. Looked great. Hungry! AUD 380 so about USD 260. That is cheap compared to here in the U.S. and it doesn't look half as good as what you had. Thanks….more tomorrow.

  3. Janice!! This was so well done! And you deserve this meal and many more!! Very happy to watch you glow!!

  4. You should come to north sydney and try out the green moustache or neutral bay to mr yip (the pork buns there are to die for! Never had one better!!)

  5. What an incredible meal the tuna and wagyu as well as everything looked DIVINE and I love that you got your rice ..Loving vlogmas ❤❤..x

  6. Next time you travel to America, maybe visit the Blue Ridge Mountains and compare them to your Blue Mountains. They're very different, but commentary on the history of the naming would be interesting IMO. Kaiseki adjusted for a western palate; and paired with Aussie wine…🤔 380 is a lot of cash, even assuming you meant AUD and not USD; but it might be worth it. TBH it sure looked worth that price, assuming the drinks were up to the level of the other ingredients. Maybe a short following up on the wines served???

  7. I dislike these "foodie events" as there is a massive conflict of interest. Provide free food and let the bloggers give their opinion. lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  8. My last trip to Sydney I ate at Yayoi Chatswood and it was yummy (crowded though…), another nice place was Banana Blossom at Bondi

  9. WOW, I didn't pick the right career. Getting invited to taste such incredible food for free! Maybe I should start recording my own vlogs but with all the talent that I have, I doubt that I will get invited by anyone else than family and friends! The sashimis were incredible, how lucky you are!

  10. Looking absolutely amazing with every place you showed on this vlog. Thank you Janice for sharing as always and looking forward to the next vlog 😊❤️

  11. Wow that restaurants food was amazing! Occasionally I have spent big a few times for dinner and I have always found it worth it, glad you didn't eat a cheeseburger after that, I may have cried😁
