Motorcycle Road Trip from Florida to New Hampshire – Amtrak Auto Train – Part 1



Here we go again! Another Motorcycle Road Trip! What an amazing time we had. We went from Broward, Florida, our home town, to Sanford, Orlando to catch the auto train which took us to Lorton, Virginia. From there we went to Mifflinville, Pennsylvania – Cooperstown, New York – Mt. Washington, New Hampshire – Burlington, Vermont – Clayton, New York – Niagara Falls, New York – Altoona, Pennsylvania – Lorton, Virginia (back on the auto train) which dropped us off in Orlando, Florida and back home to Broward County.     So I've heard of the auto train and people doing as you guys did, to get out of the boring part of the trip aka Florida. But just curious how was the pricing and how long was the loading and check in process, train ride, process to get off the train and get the bikes etc.

    You actually got some sleep? More than a little shaking. I've taken the train twice, the first time some heat sensor in the wheel/track kept going off and we got to lorton 8 hours late. the second trip (with friends that just had to try the train) we got there on time but the shaking is way to much for any of us tp get any sleep

    On my list, was hopping train went farther NE, my plan is to start in Bangor Maine and take 2 weeks to Florida

    Just made that trip late September- had a blast! Only we went south through the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge into Tennessee for the Hog rally – Never made it into Tennessee thanks to Ian- Tell me a little bit about what seat your sporting. *I was the one who said Hello during Biketoberfest at Iron Horse

    This looks like a blast. So want to do this. We took our bike on a motorcycle cruise to Puerto Rico, St.Kitts and St. Maarten and rode on the islands.
