A world natural heritage island in Kagoshima Prefecture. In 2021, a waterfall not even listed on the map of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan was confirmed on Amami Oshima.
Originally, it was known to the local people. When I measured this waterfall, it was Kyushu’s largest drop of 181 meters.
It makes me excited to think that there are still many unknown places in the world.
