HAT YAI, THAILAND – Along with fried chicken (watch the full tour here: https://youtu.be/lneXBB1Avm8), Hat Yai is also famous for its massive all you can eat seafood buffets! And let me tell you they have perfected the art of the all you can eat experience. #HatYai #Thailand #ThaiFood #seafood

Rim Rua Kratha Ron Buffet (ริมรั้วกระทะร้อน) – There are probably a dozen or so massive seafood buffets around Hat Yai (หาดใหญ่), but I chose Rim Rua Kratha Ron Buffet (ริมรั้วกระทะร้อน), a nice leisure restaurant that’s gigantic. It’s a huge Thai family restaurant, and you can choose to sit outside in the yard, under the seafood area, or in the gymnasium sized meat area.

You have 2 options, the seafood buffet costs 339 THB (which is $10.88) for all you can eat crab, shellfish, fish, squid, shrimp, horseshoe crab salad and many more. And the 199 THB option (หมูกระทะ) which is lots of pork, meat, hot dogs, all the vegetables, some Thai food dishes, desserts, and more. If you choose the seafood option, you get both the seafood buffet section and the meat buffet section.

The best thing about this street food buffet is that you get to cook everything in front of you on your table – grilling and boiling seafood right in front of your face while you’re eating it. It’s a similar experience to buffets across Thailand, but Hat Yai has truly perfected the art of the all you can eat Thai seafood buffet.

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

  5. You'd be lucky to get two fish fillet sandwich's from McDonald's for $10 in the US. Good going.

  6. Always pleasant and positive. Love to visit this place. If I do I will put the seafood in the sauce before grilling them.

  7. Mmmmmmm, grilled roast oysters. My first time having those was at my hunting buddie's place near the Georgia coast. They put the metal frame from an old a/c window unit over a wood fire, toss the oysters on there, and they're ready when the bubbling around the edge of the shell stops. Roast oyster heaven! Oh, my, fresh shrimp, scallops, oysters, octopus and squid. I'd end up hurting myself trying to sample it all.

  8. Hi Mark! I have an upcoming trip to Hat Yai, that I have to confess was heavily influenced by this video. Unfortunately, I just checked Google Maps and it's listed as permanently closed! Do you have a recommendation as to the #1 "can't miss this" eating in Hat Yai? Thanks so much!
