日本三大桜名所 ( 吉野山 / 高遠城址 / 弘前公園 ) [HD]



奈良県の「吉野山」は、熊野古道の一部として「世界遺産」にも登録されており、平安時代から桜名所として知られていました。桜の代表である「ソメイヨシノ」という名称も、「桜といえば吉野山」という発想で付けられたそうです。

実際には、吉野山は山桜が主体の名所で、その総数は3万本にもおよぶそうです。特に桜が密集したエリアは「一目千本」と呼ばれていて、山麓から順に、「下千本」「中千本」「上千本」「奥千本」と開花していきます。

長野県の「高遠城址」は、武田信玄にもゆかりのある城郭で、軍師の山本勘助に命じて改築をさせたといわれます。
天然の地形を生かした堅固な構造で、「日本百名城」の一つにも数えられますが、今は「天下の桜名所」としても有名になっています。

春には「タカトオコヒガンザクラ」という固有品種の桜が、一帯をピンクに染め上げ、「日本三大桜名所」の一つに挙げられます。

青森県の「弘前公園」は、江戸時代に弘前藩の藩庁が置かれた「弘前城」の跡地に整備された公園で、天守閣は江戸時代から現存している貴重なものであり、「日本百名城」の一つにも数えられます。

さらに、本丸跡や外濠からは「百名山」に選ばれている「岩木山」も望め、あらゆる要素が揃ったスーパー桜名所です！GWに見頃を迎えることもあり、毎年300万人近くのお花見客が訪れるといわれるのも納得です。

The three most famous cherry blossom sites in Japan ( Mt. Yoshino / Takato Castle / Hirosaki Park )

Mt. Yoshino in Nara Prefecture is part of the Kumano Ancient Road and is registered as a World Heritage Site and has been known as a famous cherry blossom spot since the Heian period. The name “Someiyoshino” (meaning “cherry blossom” in Japanese) was apparently created from the idea that cherry blossoms are synonymous with Mount Yoshino.

In reality, Mt. Yoshino is mainly famous for its mountain cherry blossoms, with a total of 30,000 trees. The area where the cherry blossoms are particularly dense is called “Hitome Senbon”, and from the foot of the mountain, the trees bloom in sequence: Shimo-Senbon, Nakasenbon, Kamisenbon, and Okusenbon.

The ruins of the Takato Joshi Castle in Nagano Prefecture are associated with Takeda Shingen, and it is said that he ordered his military strategist, Yamamoto Kansuke, to reconstruct the castle.
With a solid structure that takes advantage of the natural terrain, it is one of the “100 best castles in Japan” and is now famous for its cherry blossoms.

In spring, the Takato-ko-Higanzakura, an endemic variety of cherry blossom, turns the whole area pink and is one of the three most famous cherry blossom spots in Japan.

Hirosaki Park in Aomori Prefecture is a park that was built on the site of Hirosaki Castle, where the domain office of the Hirosaki Clan was located in the Edo period.

Furthermore, you can see Mount Iwakisan (Mt. Iwakisan), which has been selected as one of the “100 Great Mountains”, from the ruins of the main castle and the outer moat, making it a super cherry blossom spot with all the elements!
It is said that nearly 3 million visitors come to this area every year to view the cherry blossoms.
