I had a flight from Sapporo on Hokkaido island, Japan to Niigata on Honshu island, but I accidentally went to the wrong airport.

  1. That statue at the airport could be modeled after Antonio Canova's statue The Three Graces.

  2. I wonder when u travel to different countries,,, do u ask any local people for little help How to get there your destination???

  3. I guess you need to plug in the airport code when you are looking for local transportation in an unfamiliar area to make sure you are going to the right airport!

  4. The nearest airport of Nagano City is Matsumoto Airport(MMJ).
There is a flight from New Chitose Airport.
Matsumoto Airport >(bus)> Matsumoto Station >(train or bus)> Nagano Station.
Matsumoto is the second largest city of Nagano Prefecture.

  5. Hi Gabriel, the trips to other locations always seem to be a bit of an adventure. I don't understand why you couldn't take a train back I'm sure flying is faster to arrive but then you had to take two trains. It seems awkward getting to Nagano but that's no rush and in the process, you see other sites. I really do love their train efficacy fast and comfortable and convenient.

  6. Haneda and Narita(羽田/成田) trap many people everyday, but Sapporo Airfield and New Chitose Airport are certainly easy to mistake as well. If you are going to Nagoya, please note Nagoya Airfield and Chubu Centrair International Airport.

  7. gab.i just cant see you like this in this concrete jungle..you belong to the wilderness..the himalayas and etc.

  8. You should really have watched out the famous niigata sake tasting vending machine maybe tokyo with Hokuruki shinkansen would have been the better choice

  9. Next time you are in Niigata, please do some sightseeing in Niigata. Visiting Sado Island is also a good idea ☺️

  10. When we flew domestically in Japan the flights were also no more than half full. I wonder why that is. Flights are relatively inexpensive in Japan (compared to bullet trains) but don't seem to be used much.

  11. Watching your fantastic adventures makes me excited for my trip next week to Toyama and Takayama . Can’t wait to see the upcoming video of the Monkeys 🐒 🐵 at the Jigokudani Monkey Park .

  12. Actually the JR lines can take you directly from downtown Sapporo to New Chitose Airport just under 40min. I believe there’s 5 trains to the airport every hour. Whenever you are taking a Japanese domestic flight, arriving at the airport 1 hour prior departure is more than enough.
Matsumoto Airport is the major airport in Nagano Prefecture and there’s a direct flight from New Chitose Airport everyday.

  13. I was abroad recently and did the departing airport double/triple-checking on that occasion after watching your video this past summer 😁I guess you will have to learn from your past self too at some point! ❤

  14. You should have bought the JR Pass, I guess you have spent extra money on buying individual trips. When you have JR Pass, you can reserve the seat online and have it printed in the machine when you are in the train station rather than approach the ticket office.
Snow Monkey Onsen without snow at this time, may not be a right time to visit. Matsumoto Castle could be another day trip adding to your stay in Nagano. You may be interested to visit Shirakawa-go via Takayama to view the traditional Japanese Village.
