  1. Hey JP! Great video! Happy for you that you have had a wonderful year and wishing you all the best in 2017. Wish to have seen tour vids on Singapore and Malaysia since we are heading out there next week. So looking forward to the Panamanian jungle hostel. I'd love to stay there! BTW did order from Amazon through your link, camera, headlamps, books. The head lamp is useful to me already at home Thanks!

  2. Such a rad video man! πŸ˜ƒ
Loved it & cant wait to see more of your content to come! πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

  3. Great to know u enjoy my country Penang food… did you travel down to Malacca – the historical state of Malaysia? Happy new year JP

  4. well you have sold me with your review. subbed πŸ™‚ I am really interested in Asia but also South America and it looks like you have loads of experience with both, but which one should I do first? South America would benefit me for improving and developing my Spanish, but Asia is cheaper hmmm

  5. "get off the couch and go do great things" = yes! damn, what a year you had! definitely am going to go back and check out some of your past adventures. What was your fave dish in Penang (besides ALL the food? lol)

  6. DAAAANG JP! Did you preplan your route or did you go with the flow from one country to another? Sorry to hear about your ankle sprain, but it looks like you took care of it like a boss. Looking forward to your upcoming videos .. Subbed!

  7. South America is going to be epic!! my family is from Peru! you have to go there! Awesome video and channel my friend!! hoped you had an awesome Happy New Year and we wish you the best this 2017!!! We are new friends from Miami, we invite you to our channel as well, we do fun cool traveling and local stuff. Thank you

  8. Very cool compilation! I like how you also have the worst travel mishaps. The dog part is kind of like Blair Witch Project. wish my 2016 was as exciting!

  9. Great video JP. I really dig how organized this video was, makes it very easy to watch as a viewer. I wonder as a video creator, do you just keep meticulous notes / documents of places you go. Or did you have to do a lot of memory work to figure this all out? The # of beds slept in was particularly impressive haha!

  10. thank you for the review, i have been using your vids as aftercare from my trip to thailand and cambodia. came back to cold sweden with a jetlag that is really buttkicking. i was wondering, as a digital nomad, do you and how if you do, structure your week & work? workdays versus off days, work hours versus work period, stuff like that. do you adapt to time difference? i had to do some work while away and found it hard to schedule, because, well, world is shiny.

  11. $20k isn't bad at all! Cheaper than paying a mortgage + all the other living expenses you'd spend money on living here in the US. You did a lot last year. Ugh sucks you lost your camera πŸ™ And I went to Bali recently and broke out in a bad rash all over my back – I thought it was heat rash but after looking at your footage, I'm wondering if it was bed bugs!!! Ewww!!!

  12. Saw this on FB but it's just as good watching it for a second time! I seriously love your editing on this one. πŸ™‚ I'm really surprised by how few trains you took, did you rent a car in any of the places you visited?

  13. I absolutely loved this 2016 recap! So excited for your 2017 adventures!!

  14. Fabulous video. Best wishes for more great travel in 2017. Your videos on Cambodia were quite helpful when I traveled there in July. I'm looking forward to your videos on South Korea as I plan to travel there this year. Cheers!

  15. I just recently stumbled upon your channel and I simply cannot stop binge watching !! Keep it up dude ! Love your content. You're making me even more excited to visit Chiang Mai for the first time next month πŸ™‚

  16. JP, your travel videos are very inspiring, along with all of the other travel vloggers on Youtube.

This year, I plan to travel to Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore.
I want to be able to experience the joys of traveling like yourself and others.

  17. Awesome video JP! Reminded me of some of my travel experiences. I've been to all the same countries aside from Indonesia and S.Korea. Anymore travel plans in 2017? Currently living in Brazil and I would definitely recommend a trip here! It's worth it just to see the men πŸ˜‰
