We visit today a beautiful sacred place in Japan: Koyasan.

This area is located in Wakayama prefecture and it’s the center of Shingon Buddhism.

In Koyasan, you can experience a stay in a temple (Shukubo) and one of the best to do so is Ekoin temple. In the morning, you will be able to participate to the fire ritual that you can see in this video.

  1. I took part im the morning ritual too in Koyasan when traveling there in 2017.
It explained how in almost every temple it says "burned down in xxxx and was rebuild" 😝

    Edit: stayed in Kumagaiji ryokan

  2. Thank you for your videos! I’ve been looking for a channel that gives the Japanese Experience without commentary. It makes me feel like I’m actually there.
