The renovation of the "Harumi flag" apartment buildings is going on right now and expected to be finished in Mar 2024. Meanwhile
the construction of two high rise condo buildings(both 50 stories high) started inJan 2022 at the site, and it is scheduled to be completed
in Sep 2025. The apartment units will be 5650 in total when completed. Until then the site might look like a ghost town.
The Olympic village has been transformed to a residential apartment complex after the end of Olympic games and named "Harumi Flag".

Thank you TE ! I can feel Hacchobori vibe and nostalgic about the view 28:40. I used to live near the tiny bridge over there 200m away from here along the road on the right hand side. By the way, I lived in Hiroshima for 9 years. Hiroshima Okonomiyaki is the best.
