Buffelsfontein Game & Nature Reserve on a quick visit proved to be beyond my wildest imagination. From the minute you arrive at the gate on the West Coast Road, just a little past the Yzerfontein turn off on your right hand side, you are greeted and made welcome to enter the Reserve. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner at reception, we got chatting over a cup of coffee where he shared his vision with me for the Park.
Unfortunately, as I was only passing and wanted to find out more about Buffelsfontein Nature Reserve, I only had 1 camera with me and as it is an action camera, with no zoom action, I did my best on the short tour that was available at the time. My guide was very informative and quick to spot animals and had some very interesting tales to tell. They have a wonderful restaurant and amazing accommodation where a holiday or even a weekend stop would be highly recommended.
I will most definitely return and bring you a close-up view of the amazing assortment of wildlife on the Reserve.
I am amazed at how passionate the owner and his family are about wildlife, to give us such an amazing opportunity to get up-close to wildlife. Please support them and pop-in for lunch as there is no entry-fee to go to the restaurant and the park is totally privately funded. Our support can only help them to know their efforts are appreciated.
